Thursday, Parshas Toldos — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yisroel Zev Halpert, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
The son of HaRav R' Shmuel Kraus shlit"a, a rebbi in the yeshiva.
The bochur Meir, son of R' Leibish Teitelbaum.
The bochur Yitzchak Yuda Lebovitch.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah. After davening, he recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 24, verse 5. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the large classroom.

Around 5:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

Reception hours in Kiryas Joel were from 8:30 until 12:20 at night, in the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim for the following mechutanim:
HaRav R' Yoel Hopfer – HaRav R' Shlomo Neiman.
HaRav R' Shlomo Zalman Yitzchak Epstein – Rabbi Avrohom Meir Eckstein shlit"a.

During the reception hours, a signing ceremony took place in Kiryas Joel, at which HaRav R' Avrohom Weider, head of the kehilla and head of the city, purchased the zechus of the eruv truck. The truck was purchased by the 'Vaad HaEruvin' under the auspices of the Beis Horaah of Kiryas Joel, and is already used weekly to inspect the many eruvin in all the neighborhoods and areas throughout Kiryas Joel. Present were the rabbanim of the Vaad: the Rav of Beis Medrash Kol Eliyahu, HaGaon shlit"a, HaRav R' Yoel Kahn shlit"a, and HaRav R' Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a.
The Rebbe discussed with the rabbanim shlit"a many details and questions that have come up recently regarding the eruvin in the various neighborhoods of Kiryas Joel, in particular the problems that arose with the current eruv bands this past Friday because of the snow, which invalidated several eruvin. They discussed plans for a solution that they hope to bring to fruition soon, IY"H.
The Rebbe signed the documents together with the distinguished philanthropist HaRav R' Avrohom, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessing upon the philanthropist, the rabbanim of the Vaad, and the Vaad members who raise the enormous sums these projects require, wishing them success going forward, that no stumbling block should come from our hands.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 11:30 and then continued receiving the public.
