Thursday, Parshas Lech Lecha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Yitzchak Chaim Shaleelof, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for hagbah, and after davening he delivered a shiur on a sugya in Maseches Shabbos at the yeshiva's shiurim. The yeshiva students came to greet the Rebbe on the occasion of the new zman, and a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the late morning hours the Rebbe went on his weekly visit to the glatt kosher slaughterhouse. Afterwards, the Rebbe went on a visit to our holy kehilla's matzah bakery.

In the afternoon, around 3:15, HaGaon HaGadol Rabbi Michel Zilber shlit"a, rosh yeshiva of Zvehil in Eretz Yisroel, visited the Rebbe's holy home. A lengthy conversation ensued about Torah matters and about the Chareidi community in Tiberias, and about the decree of drafting yeshiva students in Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing upon him, and gave him his new sefer Lev Aharon - Sugyos. A scholarly conversation in matters of pilpul ensued, and the Rebbe accompanied him out to the street.

Around 5:20 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Yoel Hersh Feigel - R' Yissachar Dov Meierowitz, at Bais Rachel Paradise hall.

Yechidus hours were from 8:20 until 11:25 at night, in the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Yoel Markowitz - HaGaon Rabbi Yitzchak Shalom Friedman shlit"a, moreh tzedek.

During yechidus hours, HaGaon Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Hager shlit"a, son of the Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbe shlit"a and son-in-law of the Skver Rebbe shlit"a, entered together with his son the chassan, to receive the Rebbe's holy blessings and to invite the Rebbe shlit"a to the simcha of the wedding taking place this coming Monday, Parshas Vayeira, in Monsey. A pleasant conversation developed about wedding customs in the House of Vizhnitz, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him and upon his son the chassan.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 11:25.
