Wednesday, Parshas Lech Lecha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Yoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 24, verse 1. The yeshiva students went over to wish the Rebbe well on the new zman, and a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room. On that occasion, the Rebbe gave the bar mitzvah bochur, son of HaRav R' Sinai Teitelbaum shlit"a, a set of his sefer Lev Aharon - Sugyos as a bar mitzvah gift.

At around 1:30, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the opening-of-the-zman address to nearly 1,500 choice bochurim, may they be well, from the 7 branches of the Mesivta.
The Rebbe began with a lengthy discourse of derush and aggadah on the week's parsha, then continued with words of mussar and chizuk in Torah, avodah and gemilus chassadim. He spoke of the privilege of being able to learn here in such a holy yeshiva, away from the streets of the non-Jews, of the beauty of the Shabbosos in yeshiva, and the elevated nature of the Raava d'Raavin seudah. He strengthened the yeshiva's regulations to comply in all matters, particularly to guard one's vessels, and the regulation of the founder of the yeshiva, the holy Rebbe zy"a, not to go to weddings. He concluded his words of chizuk with many blessings.

The address ended at around 2:20 and the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva students in his private room. At around 5:20 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Yitzchak Yazhef shlit"a (of Williamsburg) - R' Yosef Shmuel Filaf shlit"a, at Kinor David hall.
R' Yoel Wieder - R' Shimon Yisroel Chaim Wertzberger, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.

Reception hours with the Rebbe were from 8:00 until 12:15 at night, at his holy residence on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:25 and then continued to receive the public.
