Tuesday, Parshas Lech Lecha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Yechezkel Goldberger, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, Etz Chaim branch - Shiur Gimmel. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

After davening, the Rebbe led the daily Tehillim recital, on chapter 24, verse 1. The yeshiva students came to wish the Rebbe well on the new zman, and a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Heichal of the beis medrash.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to Heichal HaYeshiva, Beirach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva students in his private room. At around 4:40 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

After Mincha, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to HaRav HaChassid R' Moshe Aharon Reich and his sons, who are sitting shiva for their son/brother R' Yosef Meir Nachman a"h.

Afterward, the Rebbe traveled into Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.
Upon arriving in Williamsburg, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to the family of HaRav HaChassid R' Avrohom Yitzchak Franzoz a"h. Then the Rebbe went over to the Continental halls, where the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim HaRav HaChassid R' Shmuel Zanvil Wertheimer, director of our holy mosdos in Monsey, and HaRav HaChassid R' Yitzchak Appel.

The yechidus hours in Kiryas Joel took place from 7:45 until 12:20 at night, in his holy residence on Hughes St.

During the yechidus hours, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park, shlit"a, entered and presented the Rebbe shlit"a with the beautiful, newly printed Responsa Etz Chaim, which had just come out of print through the Rav shlit"a. The Rebbe studied the sefer for an extended time and thanked his brother, the Gaon shlit"a, and also extended special good wishes on the bar mitzvah simcha of a grandson, the son of his son HaRav R' Sinai shlit"a, which took place that night.

Also entering was a group of students of the Yeshiva Ketana, Yoel Moshe branch, of Boro Park, under the leadership of HaRav R' Yitzchak Aharon Green shlit"a. The Rebbe listened to the studies of the past year for an extended time and bestowed his holy blessing upon the rebbeim and students of the yeshiva.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:20 and then continued receiving the public.

After the yechidus hours, at around 12:30, the Rebbe went to the home of the distinguished philanthropist R' Avrohom Yuda Mandel on the occasion of the wedding of his son, to take place, mazel tov, this coming Sunday, IY"H. A lengthy conversation took place, and R' Avrohom Yuda showed the Rebbe shlit"a various historical antique sefarim of the Rishonim and Acharonim, and then commentaries on the Torah and Shas, and later works of the students of the Baal Shem Tov, as well as various precious manuscripts found in his treasury, among them the 'Ginzei Yehuda' project that he published in honor of the wedding. The Rebbe drank a lechayim, warmly wished the chosson, the mechutanim and the whole family well, and joined in a dance with the chosson and the mechutanim.
At around 1:15 the Rebbe set out on the way home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
