In continuation of the massive advocacy meetings of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a in the campaign against the education decree, and also for housing for the public, two separate meetings were held today with high-ranking political officials in light of the upcoming elections.

Around 12:30, Congressman Pat Ryan entered for a private audience at the Rebbe's holy home, together with Assemblyman R' Simcha Eichenstein of Boro Park, accompanied by the heads and administrators of the town, R' Gedalya Segadin and R' Avrohom Wieder, of Kiryas Joel. They spoke for a lengthy time about the education decree in New York and what they can do to help with all that is within their power, and he promised to cooperate with everything that will be raised regarding the education decree in order to nullify the decree. The Rebbe shlit"a bestowed upon him from his holy blessing in light of the upcoming elections.

They reviewed at length the topic of the education decree in New York, and the Rebbe shlit"a once again urged him to stand ready to assist the chareidi community in every way to nullify the education decree. Afterward they discussed the town of Kiryas Joel, and how he can be of assistance to the town's residents, and especially regarding affordable housing. The Rebbe shlit"a bestowed upon him from his holy blessing in light of the upcoming elections.
