The Night of Tisha B'Av, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Maariv at around 9:25. Baal tefillah: R' Amram Acker (Kiryas Joel).
Afterwards the Rebbe recited Megillas Eichah and the Kinos for the night of Tisha B'Av, and lamented the destruction of the Beis HaMikdash with intense weeping. HaRav Shmuel Kraus shlit"a led the recitation. They concluded at around 10:50.

Tuesday, Vaeschanan, Tisha B'Av

The Rebbe entered for Shacharis at around 9:45. Baal tefillah: R' Amram Acker.

Pesichah: R' Yishai Goldberger (Kiryas Joel). Baal korei: R' Aharon Shimon Masri (Kiryas Joel).
Kohen: R' Lipa, son of Yisroel Shalom Pollack (Kiryas Joel). Levi: R' Moshe Aryeh Friedman (Kiryas Joel). Shlishi and Maftir: the Rebbe shlit"a – it was purchased by R' Aharon Shimon Masri, and the Rebbe thanked him. Hagbah: the bochur Shalom Eliezer, son of Berel Stein (Kiryas Joel). Gelilah: R' Moshe Shmuel Stein (Kiryas Joel).
Afterwards the Rebbe recited the Haftorah and its blessings weeping.

After the Torah reading the Rebbe recited the Kinos for Tisha B'Av with weeping and lamentation. HaRav Shmuel Kraus shlit"a led the recitation. After the Kinos they concluded with Ashrei, U'va L'Tzion, and Aleinu. They concluded at around 1:00.

The Rebbe entered for Mincha at around 6:45. The Rebbe put on tallis and tefillin in the beis medrash and recited the four parshiyos, taking the tzitzis during Krias Shema, and then completed the Shir Shel Yom and Kavei.

Gelilah: the bochur Yoel, son of Yosef Masri.
After Mincha the Rebbe recited the five daily chapters of Tehillim. They concluded at around 7:45.

On the way to Maariv the Rebbe related stories about his father, the Beirach Moshe zy"a, during the Second World War. The Rebbe entered for Maariv at the time of Rabbeinu Tam, at 9:06. Baal tefillah: R' Aharon Shimon Masri.

After Maariv the Rebbe put on his shoes, and then sanctified the moon in the hotel parking lot with great joy, and then wished, "A good month; may Hashem help that in a year from now we will no longer need to fast."

May it be His will that these days be transformed to joy and gladness.
