Sunday, Parshas Devarim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a
The Ohel, Sanz

On Sunday at around 10:15 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived in the city of Uhel, at the lodging.
At around 10:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in the large tent, "Ohel HaTefillos," which was specially set up in honor of the holy hilula.
The Rebbe put on the Shel Rosh and then laid tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur Yehuda Aryeh, son of R' Meir Tzvi Weiss (Bnei Brak).
Baal tefillah: R' Hersh Leib Fogel (Kiryas Joel).

After davening, dozens of distinguished guests, rabbanim, chassidim and men of deeds who had come from all over Europe, among them guests who had stayed in the city of Uhel for Shabbos Kodesh, greeted the Rebbe. Also greeting him was HaRav Daniel Rokeach shlit"a of Lizhensk, who invited the Rebbe shlit"a to visit the guest-house building in Lizhensk, which stands under his leadership.

After davening a lechayim gathering and a session of pleading for mercy took place. Niggunim were sung for a longer time with great arousal, and the Rebbe shed tears. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and blessed the entire gathering, "May his merit protect us and all Israel," and gave a special blessing to the bar mitzvah bochur.

After the lechayim, at around 12:30, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the holy tziyon together with the hundreds of men present. The Rebbe lit 5 candles with a neshama light and then leaned on the holy tziyon with awesome weeping while the assembled sang Ani Maamin in the coming of Moshiach.
After a few minutes the Rebbe said, with intense weeping, both the prayer attributed to the Yismach Moshe, "Shalom Aleichem," and the Yehi Ratzon before reciting Tehillim composed by the baal hahilula. He then recited aloud the chapters of the fourth book from 90 through 107 as is customary. After the Yehi Ratzon, said in a weeping voice, the Rebbe said Kaddish. The Rebbe then read kvitlach while the assembled sang niggunim of arousal, and afterward prostrated himself for a longer time with tremendous weeping. They concluded at around 1:40.

The Rebbe then returned to the lodging for the morning meal.
At the lodging, the guards of both batei chaim of our holy kehilla in Uhel entered, as well as from the city of Kalov, who are under the askanim of our holy kehilla, R' Avrohom Yoshe Glantz and R' Avrohom Brach. Together with HaRav Isamar Meizlish shlit"a, R' Avrohom Yoshe presented the many projects provided for the benefit of the thousands and tens of thousands of Jews who visit the holy kevarim throughout the year, and the Rebbe bestowed from his holy blessing.

After a short rest, at around 4:10, the Rebbe set out on the road to Sanz. On the way the Rebbe engaged in Torah and related beautiful things about Sanz.

Meanwhile, the Rebbe went through the daily schedule according to the clock and decided to make the change that the next day they would cross over before dawn to Lizhensk. The askanim immediately began making arrangements so that whoever wished could come along and take part in the holy tefillos at the holy place.
A trembling came over the mekuravim when, approaching Sanz, the Rebbe pointed with awe and fear at every village and town, with a feeling of how close they already were to Sanz.

At around 7:10 they arrived in Sanz. The Rebbe expressed his holy wish to go once more to the mikvah. The Rebbe went to the mikvah in the building of the Bnei Sanz, under the leadership of HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Halberstam shlit"a, Rav of the Beis Shmuel beis medrash in Kiryas Joel. When he came out, the Rebbe was already awesomely aflame.

After the mikvah the Rebbe went up to the upper floor of the building. The Rebbe greeted HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Halberstam shlit"a and spoke about the holy avodah of the Sanzer Rav zy"a, how at this very place the holy Kedushas Yom Tov would regularly come to stop on his way from Tetch.
The Rebbe shlit"a davened Mincha with intense arousal and devekus, and prolonged the Shemoneh Esrei with awesome weeping. Baal tefillah: R' Avrohom Moshe Landau (Williamsburg).

Immediately after Mincha, at around 7:45, the Rebbe went over to the beis hachaim. On the way a beautiful conversation took place with HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Halberstam shlit"a about the connection of our holy Rebbes of the Sighet house zy"a to the holy Sanzer Rav zy"a.
With awe, reverence and extraordinary fear, the Rebbe entered the holy ohel like a servant before his master, approached the holy tziyon and lit 5 candles with a neshama light. They began singing niggunim of arousal for a while as the Rebbe shed rivers of tears. The Rebbe then said the prayer of Shalom Aleichem and recited Tehillim of the fourth book from 90 through 107, and said the Yehi Ratzon while shedding tears from beginning to end. The Rebbe then read kvitlach while the assembled sang niggunim of arousal, and the Rebbe prostrated himself on the holy tziyon. They concluded at around 9:00.

The Rebbe then went over to the guest-house building Linas HaTzedek, under the direction of HaRav Rabbi Kalman Halberstam shlit"a, Rav of the Sanz beis medrash in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe viewed the building, affixed a mezuzah, and davened Maariv. Baal tefillah: HaRav Rabbi Kalman Halberstam shlit"a, on the yahrzeit of his grandfather, the Gaon Hakadosh the Kreizer Rav zt"l.
After Maariv a lechayim gathering took place and the Rebbe related holy stories about Sanz.

They concluded at around 10:00 and the Rebbe returned to the central guest-house building of the Bnei Sanz. The Rebbe washed for a private Rosh Chodesh seudah with a select few mekuravim.

The assembled went over to the hall of the Best Western hotel, where a rich Rosh Chodesh seudah took place.
At the end of the seudah, at 11:00, the Rebbe entered. Niggunim of acceptance of prayers were sung, "May Hashem fulfill our requests," and all good things were pleaded for.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim, a food was given out in honor of Rosh Chodesh, and the Rebbe related several holy stories about the Gaon Hakadosh, the Divrei Chaim zy"a. He blessed the entire gathering that all good things be accomplished and that they return home with salvations and cures. They concluded at around 11:15.
On his way out the Rebbe expressed his admiration at the elevated spirit and warmth of the assembled, and the Rebbe traveled to the lodging.
