Thursday, Parshas Pinchas 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Shacharis at around 8:40.

Shlishi: the Rebbe shlit"a; it was purchased by HaRav R' Moshe Boruch Schwartz (Williamsburg), and the Rebbe thanked him. Hagbah: HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Rosh Chochmah shlit"a. After davening, the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence, and on the way a conversation developed about the minhag of saying five chapters of Tehillim after davening.

Late in the afternoon, the Rebbe took part by telephone in a meeting with the committee that the Rebbe appointed to find a solution to the housing crisis in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe heard a report on the developments of the last 3 days, bringing apartment prices down to under $300 per square foot. He had great satisfaction hearing about the negotiations with the developers who have already signed to bring their projects down to this price. The Rebbe gave them instructions on how to proceed, and expressed his hope that the existing developers who are already in the middle of their construction projects will also meet this price and fully cooperate for the benefit of the public. The Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon those who work faithfully on behalf of the community's needs.

The Rebbe entered for Mincha at around 8:55. Baal tefillah: the Chaver Beis Din, HaGaon Rabbi, Rav of the Yeshmach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a. Between Mincha and Maariv the Rebbe was engaged in his learning. Maariv was davened at the time of Rabbeinu Tam. After Maariv, the guests took leave.
