Monday, Parshas Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah, and after davening he recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 22, verse 1. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to Heichal HaYeshiva, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Yaakov Saul - R' Yosef Chabib Masri, at Kinor David hall.
R' Yoel son of R' Moshe Weinberger (Monsey) - R' Yoel Dovid Schwartz, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.

The times for entry to the Rebbe were from 7:45 until 12:15 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Street.

Visiting the Rebbe was HaGaon Rabbi Baruch Oberlander shlit"a, Av Beis Din of the Badatz of the Chareidi communities of Budapest, where a lengthy conversation took place on matters of halacha concerning shechita and mikvaos, and the Rebbe sent him off with his holy blessing.

At around 9:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

During the entry times, over 100 bochurim from all the branches of the yeshivos ketanos in Kiryas Joel entered the Rebbe's room. They had raised over a thousand dollars each in the 'Pekudas HaKodesh' campaign during the past bein hazmanim, for the benefit of the Kiryas Yoel mosdos. The Rebbe heard a report from the mosdos' administration, imparted his blessing, and gave every bochur a gift of the sefer Lev Aharon.

Also entering were the askanim of the 'Bechartanu' group of Monsey, and the 'L'haalos' group of Kiryas Joel and Williamsburg, for the bochurim of our holy kehilla. The Rebbe heard a report from the rabbonim of our holy kehilla in Monsey about the many activities of the group, which has been going on for several years with great success. They also discussed the importance of learning chassidus and mussar seforim and of instilling a taste for Yiddishkeit in bochurim through Torah learning. The Rebbe gave instructions and discussed various details and points for the group in Kiryas Joel, which will expand to all the batei medrash, and the Rebbe warmly wished the askanim his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:15.
