Friday, Erev Shabbos, Parshas Chukas — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Chaim Shlomo Farkash, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Talmud Torah building, 'Binyan Hirsch Gb"l Landau', together with the students of the ninth grade of the branch of R' Yoel Spitzer shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the Heichal of the beis medrash. Several songs and rhymes were sung in honor of the occasion. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the bar mitzvah bochurim, as well as all the bochurim and those who teach Torah, well. He delivered words of Torah on the verse "Therefore the rulers say, 'Come to Cheshbon'" and brought out that the only way to overcome the yetzer hara is with the holy Torah. He said that in these coming weeks it is the time to make a reckoning and to review the pages of Maseches Kiddushin, so that at the end of the year the entire masechta can be completed. He continued with words of guidance and concluded with his holy blessing.
