Thursday, Parshas Chukas — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Aryeh Friedlander, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went to be hagbah, and after davening he delivered a shiur on a sugya in the yeshiva's shiurim. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

After Shacharis, at around 12:30, the Rebbe went up to visit the kevarim of our holy Rebbes. Upon arriving at the cemetery, the Rebbe recited the blessing. The Rebbe lit 5 candles at the kevarim of our holy Rebbes, the Divrei Yoel and the Beirach Moshe zy"a, and at the kever of his mother, the Rebbetzin a"h. Then the Rebbe recited the tefillah of the Yismach Moshe zy"a, recited the fourth book of Tehillim with great hisorerus and with tears, and said Kaddish. He then read kvitlach for an extended period while niggunim of hisorerus were sung. Afterwards, the Rebbe prostrated himself on the kevarim of our holy Rebbes and of his mother, the Rebbetzin a"h. They concluded at around 1:20.

In the afternoon hours, the prominent philanthropist and leader R' Reuven Sharon of Flatbush entered the Rebbe's room at his holy home, where he brought his generous donation for the tzedakah and chesed projects of the Rebbetzin tichye. A pleasant conversation developed about his many activities on behalf of the klal, and the Rebbe bestowed his blessings upon him and thanked him for his great donations for the benefit of the klal and the individual.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Yuda Shlomo Friedman - R' Avrohom Weissman, at Kinor David hall.

After the chuppos, the Rebbe went over to the home of R' Moshe Nosson Fischer, for a bikur cholim visit, wishing him a refuah sheleimah, where a Sheva Brachos was taking place in honor of the marriage of his grandson, mazel tov, the chassan, the son of his son-in-law R' Shmuel Aharon Singer. A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his blessings.

At around 9:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha at his holy home on Ohel Court.
Afterwards there were entrance times to the Rebbe's room until 12:45 at night.

During the entrance times, talmidim of Yeshiva Nachalas HaTorah of Lakewood, under the direction of HaRav Shlomo Yitzchak Grossman shlit"a, entered the Rebbe's room. The Rebbe heard their learning and the bochurim went over to receive the Rebbe's blessing.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at his holy home for the mechutanim R' Zalman Leib Spielman - R' Avrohom Shmuel Schwartz.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:45.
