Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Bamidbar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 9:00, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos, led by R' Yoel the bochur Wertzberger shlit"a, and the Rebbe counted the Sefirah at the amud.
Davening ended at around 10:30, the congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 11:00 the Rebbe entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson the chosson Yisroel Dushinsky n"y, son-in-law of the Rav of the Ohel Pega beis medrash shlit"a; Raising of the cup (Hagbahas HaKos): the Rebbe's grandson Rabbi Meir Yuda Ashkenazi shlit"a, son-in-law of the Rav of the Avnei Tzedek beis medrash shlit"a.

The Rebbe honored various people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Yaakov Eliezer, son of HaGaon R' Mendel Hersh Kahana shlit"a; Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon R' Yosef Shmuel Berkowitz shlit"a, a moreh tzedek.

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the connection between Parshas Vayikra and Parshas Bamidbar, and explained, in the manner of a derush, the topic of a mitzvah that comes through an aveirah.

Stories and accounts: This week the Rebbe shlit"a related stories about the holy Baal Shem Tov zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls on Yom Tov of Shavuos.

U'v'Yom HaShabbos Kodesh

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:40. Berachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: Rabbi Shraga Gandel shlit"a; the Rebbe then approached the amud for Shacharis.

Hotzaah and Hachnasah (taking out and returning the Torah): R' Chaim Elazar Spitzer (Williamsburg); the verses of Shema Yisroel: Rabbi Isamar Tuvia Kaufman shlit"a.

After his aliyah the Rebbe named baby girls born to:

The Rebbe approached the amud for Mussaf in honor of the yahrzeit of his ancestor, the holy R' Aharon of Volove zt"l, whose yahrzeit fell today, Sunday, 3 Sivan. Opening of Ani'im Zemiros: R' Shmuel Landau. Davening ended at around 12:35.

Seudas Shlishis

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 8:55. Mincha: R' Yaakov Yechezkel Gandel. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: Rabbi Avrohom Simcha Gottlieb shlit"a. Kohen: Rabbi Moshe Katz shlit"a. Levi: Rabbi Peretz Tuvia Deutsch shlit"a. Shlishi: the Rav of the Avnei Tzedek beis medrash shlit"a. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Reuven Glantz.

The Rebbe honored various people with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen; Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a spoke on the Midrash, "What did they see that they merited to draw closer than everyone?" and explained that at Matan Torah the Jewish people received that Hashem joins a good thought to the deed. Jews need not actually come to suffering and death; rather, they can fulfill it by accepting mesirus nefesh in thought, and be spared suffering and death. So too to this very day, on Yom Tov of Shavuos the same thing is awakened.

For Maariv of Motzei Shabbos the Rebbe approached the amud in honor of the yahrzeit of his ancestor, the holy R' Aharon of Volove zt"l. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a good week. Davening ended at around 11:05.
After Havdalah the Rebbe went over to the home of R' Dovid Shmuel Goldberger, where a siyum on the writing of the letters of a Sefer Torah was held, which is being dedicated today, Sunday, by R' Dovid Shmuel at Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, and a lovely conversation ensued with recollections of the holy Divrei Yoel zy"a in Bal Harbour. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings upon R' Dovid Shmuel and his family.

From there the Rebbe went to the home of R' Wolf Perl, where a siyum on the writing of the letters of a Sefer Torah was held, which is being dedicated today, Sunday, by R' Wolf in the Beis Medrash Berach Moshe. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, and a lovely conversation ensued about the early years in America and about the holy Minchas Elazar of Munkatch zt"l, whose yahrzeit was on Shabbos.
A signing of agreements also took place, where R' Wolf pledged the new library in the building of Mivtzar HaKollelim, as well as a distinguished share in the building of the Beis Medrash HaGadol. The Rebbe signed both agreements together with the donor, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings upon R' Wolf and his family.

Afterwards, special entry times were held at his holy home for the many children who had not yet had their first haircut over the past weeks, where the Rebbe cut their hair and distributed sweets to the children.
