Thursday, Parshas Bamidbar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yaakov Dov Kaufman, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yoel Oberlander.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah, and after davening he learned a sugya as a shiur in the yeshiva's shiurim. Afterwards, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in his private room.

In the afternoon, at around 7:00, a group of talmidim of the Yeshiva Ketana, Chochmas HaTorah branch, of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg, under the leadership of HaRav HaGaon R' Elazar Panet shlit"a, entered the Rebbe's holy home in Kodesh. They brought in large sums for the yeshiva from this past Purim. The Rebbe asked about their learning, and the bochurim then went over to receive the holy blessing.

At around 8:10, the Rebbe went over to the Talmud Torah building, 'Binyan Klein,' where the Rebbe looked in on the learning within the 'Masmidim' program through the eighth-grade students of all the branches. The Rebbe walked around among the children and looked on with great nachas, and spoke a few words of blessing.

At around 8:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home, at the Ohel Kat.
Afterwards, there were yechidus hours in Kodesh until 12:30 at night.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall in his holy home for the following mechutanim:
R' Yoel Levy - R' Avrohom Amram Markovitch.
R' Yoel Rosenberg (Williamsburg) - R' Elisha Yoel Rosenfeld.

After the tenaim, the Rebbe davened Maariv and counted Sefirah before the amud, and then continued receiving the public.

During the yechidus hours, the Wiznitz Monsey Rebbe shlit"a visited in Kodesh. A pleasant conversation ensued about the minhagim of Wiznitz and about the Ahavas Yisroel of Wiznitz zt"l, whose yahrzeit falls on Shabbos, 2 Sivan. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and blessed him.

Also entering Kodesh Penimah was HaGaon R' Shalom Kelmer shlit"a, one of the roshei yeshiva of the Philadelphia yeshiva and son-in-law of HaGaon Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetsky shlit"a, rosh yeshiva of the Philadelphia yeshiva. A pleasant conversation ensued about the yeshiva, and the Rebbe blessed him.
