Friday, Parshas Bamidbar, Rosh Chodesh Sivan — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the hall of the Yeshiva Ketana, Or HaChaim branch, under the direction of HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Farkash shlit"a.
Upon arriving, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash and looked over the learning with great satisfaction. A conversation developed with the Zablitov Rebbe shlit"a of the Shaarei Aryeh neighborhood, who had come to put tefillin on his son, the bar mitzvah bochur, may he live. The Rebbe recounted memories from days of old, from the sugya shiurim of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zt"l, in which the Rebbe used to participate together with the Zablitov Rebbe's father, who should live long, the Divrei Mishorim of Spinka zt"l.

Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
The son of the Zablitov Rebbe shlit"a.
The bochur Menachem Shmuel Frankel.

The Rebbe approached the recital of Hallel with great fervor, and during the Torah reading he was called up as the fourth aliyah.
The director shlit"a led the davening for Mussaf.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash. Several songs were sung, and a general kvitel with the names of the talmidim of the yeshiva was handed to the Rebbe. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to the bar mitzvah bochurim, to the rebbeim, and to all the talmidim of the yeshiva. He delivered words of divrei kibbud and chizuk to the bochurim, that everyone must and everyone can learn, spoke in praise of the esteemed yeshiva, and concluded with abundant blessings for all the bochurim and rebbeim. It ended at around 12:30.

At around 1:00 the Rebbe entered the Rosh Chodesh seudah in the hall of his holy home together with the "Chaburas Talmidei B'Yado" of the yeshivos ketanos of our holy institutions. The Rebbe washed for the seudah and opened the challah with his hands, as is the custom on Erev Shabbos. After eating a kezayis, the Rebbe discussed the custom of not using a knife on Erev Shabbos and related a story of the Shinover Rav zy"a regarding this custom. During the seudah, Rosh Chodesh niggunim and Kabbalas HaTorah niggunim were sung. For Birchas HaMazon's "Barchi Nafshi," the Rebbe honored HaGaon Rabbi Baruch Shlomo Weinberger shlit"a, head of the directors of the Kiryas Joel institutions.

Afterwards the Rebbe delivered words of divrei kibbud and pointed out that from Avrohom Avinu we learn that although serving Hashem is not always easy, one must still serve Hashem in all situations. He spoke in praise of the bochurim of the chaburah, noting that although every bochur must toil, learn and review, it remains only a matter of will, yet these bochurim give up their free time to review and be tested. "May there be many like you in Yisroel!" The Rebbe concluded with words of blessing for the esteemed askanim and all the bochurim.
For Birchas HaMazon, the Rebbe honored the distinguished chassid R' Yitzchak Schwartz, patron of the chaburah. It ended at around 2:40.
