Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Emor — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 8:45 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Yoel Eckstein. The Rebbe counted Sefirah before the amud.
Davening concluded at around 10:15. An appeal was made on behalf of the Breslov Mesivta in the holy city of Yerushalayim and in Beit Shemesh. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 10:45 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the holy table in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his custom, with Kodesh Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the chassan Yisroel Dushinsky, son-in-law of the Rav of the beis medrash Ohel Feiga shlit"a. Hagbahas HaKos: the Rebbe's grandson Rabbi Meir Yuda Ashkenazi shlit"a, son-in-law of the Rav of the beis medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon R' Yosef Leib Kohn shlit"a. Menucha V'Simcha: Rabbi Nachman, son of HaGaon R' Mendel Hersh Kahana shlit"a (Boro Park).

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the verse in the haftarah, "Neveilah u'treifah min habehemah lo yochlu haKohanim," and explained in the manner of a derush the sugya of "aseh docheh lo sa'aseh."

"U'v'Yom HaShabbos Kodesh"

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:40. Berachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the Sasov Rebbe shlit"a. The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis.

At the afternoon tish in his holy home, the bochurim of Shiur Gimmel from both branches, Eitz Chaim and Yeshiva Gedolah Esek HaTorah Monsey, joined at the table.
During the seudah the bochurim had the opportunity to ask questions on various matters of halacha, hashkafa and minhag, which the Rebbe answered and discussed with good taste and wisdom.
After the zemiros the Rebbe said a Torah thought on the verse "BaSukkos teshevu shiv'as yamim" and explained in the manner of a derush the sugya of "banim laMakom."
For Bentching, the Rebbe honored the bochur Shmuel Tzvi Ungar. The seudah concluded at around 3:10.

Raava d'Raavin

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 8:40. Mincha: R' Yisroel Yaakov Brach. Hotza'ah and Hachnasah: R' Yisroel Yaakov Deutsch. Kohen: HaGaon R' Aharon Yaakov Kahana shlit"a (Monsey). Levi: Rabbi Alexander Meisels shlit"a (Boro Park). Shlishi: the Rav of the beis medrash Beis Baruch shlit"a. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Eliyahu Yitzchak Rosenberg.

The Rebbe honored people with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Noach Gafen. Shir HaMaalos: HaGaon R' Aharon Yaakov Kahana shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the verse "Emor el haKohanim v'amarta aleihem," and explained that through opinions in which a person is not careful about falsehood, the yetzer hara has the power to entice a person to sin; but when one clings to absolute truth and detests falsehood, Heaven opens the eyes so that one can be saved from the persuasions of the yetzer hara.

Maariv on Motzei Shabbos: R' Avrohom Filipp. The Rebbe counted Sefirah before the amud. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a good week. Davening concluded at around 11:00.

After Havdalah, a group of bochurim from Yeshiva Gedolah Bobov of Boro Park, who had spent Shabbos b'tzeil hakodesh, entered for a kabbalas panim in his holy home. The Rebbe asked about their learning and bestowed from his holy blessing.

Likewise, a group of talmidim of Yeshivas Meor HaTorah of Lakewood, who had spent Shabbos b'tzeil hakodesh, entered for a kabbalas panim. The Rebbe asked about their learning and bestowed from his holy blessing.
