Sunday, Parshas Vayeishev — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yosef Leib Freund, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, the Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe laid tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yehuda Brill.

After davening, the Rebbe led the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 19, verse 2. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon at around 4:40, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the Sefer Hall for the Sheva Brachos celebration arranged by the Igud Yoshvei Ohel of our holy kehilla, in honor of HaRav Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a, director of Mivtzar HaKollelim in Kiryas Joel, and in honor of HaRav R' Levi Yitzchak Honig shlit"a, maggid shiur in Yoshvei Ohel. A fine conversation developed, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the chasanim, the mechutanim and the grandfathers well. The Rebbe spoke words of his holy mouth, highlighting the importance of the Igud Yoshvei Ohel, which gives young married men the opportunity to engage in halachic study, and spoke in praise of the mechutan, the esteemed philanthropist R' Yoel Landau, who had the merit of donating the guesthouse building in the city of the forefathers, Sighet, and concluded with his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Mincha at around 5:05, and Maariv at around 6:15 in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Chaim Bentzion Weinfeld (of Williamsburg) - R' Moshe Fischer, at Gineth Klein hall.
HaRav R' Mendel Weiss shlit"a - R' Eliyahu Yehuda Rota, in the halls of Beis Rochel Paradise.
After the chuppos, the Rebbe shlit"a set out on the way to Williamsburg.

With the gathering of the heads of the people, the tribes of Yisroel together, the day of rescue and liberation of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, was celebrated and marked at the central, majestic and exalted gathering, the Seudas Hodaah on the Leil HaHodaah, 21 Kislev, with tens of thousands of Jews, led by dozens of rabbonim and dayanim shlit"a, headed by the leader of the kehilla, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the gigantic 60,000-square-foot 'Binyan HaHodaah' erected at the Waterfront Square in Williamsburg, combined with the dinner 'Binyeinu V'Doroseinu' for the benefit of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg and their thousands of children, may they live and be well.
The enormous Binyan HaHodaah was masterfully set up to accommodate the thousands of chassidim from across Greater New York and beyond.

On the occasion of the uplifting gathering, a very rich journal was issued with historical articles and photos and details of the expansion of the boundaries of holiness within our holy mosdos in Williamsburg.
Likewise, the tenth volume of the magnificent, rich sefer 'Mishulchan Melachim', holy talks of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a from the year 5777, was distributed to all the donors.

Throughout the gathering, the wonderful singer HaRav Zanvil Weinberger from Eretz Yisroel entertained with songs and melodies, accompanied by the renowned Chevra Shira choir and led by the renowned conductor R' Yoshe Koller.

HaGaon HaRav R' Pinchas Schlesinger shlit"a, rosh yeshiva of our yeshiva in London, served as chairman of the gathering. Afterwards, the esteemed R' Mordechai Elazar Hirsch read out the names of the distinguished donors who contributed larger sums for the benefit of the mosdos, and thanked the askanim who devote themselves to the mosdos in general and to this gathering in particular.

At around 9:00, the Gaon and Tzaddik, the Av Beis Din shlit"a, addressed the gathering on behalf of the mosdos. He spoke about the obligation of gratitude incumbent upon every Satmar chassid on this day, and about the wonderful fruits that emerge from our holy mosdos in Williamsburg.

At around 9:30, tens of thousands of chassidim had the privilege of receiving the Rebbe shlit"a. The Rebbe entered the hall, and the thousands broke out in fiery dancing, thanking Hashem for the miracles He performed in those days and in our time. The Rebbe greeted the dozens of rabbonim and then danced with fiery holy dancing, in great emotion, for several minutes, to the melodies of gratitude, 'Chasdei Hashem', 'V'Hi She'amda' and more.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a washed for the pure table in honor of the day, and after the fish he wished lechayim and gave his holy blessing to the tens of thousands of Jews.
The esteemed chairman shlit"a continued on the obligation of gratitude and expressed the joy that burns in the hearts of our chassidim everywhere in the entire world. Then the Rebbe rose again and continued with a fiery dance to 'Bach Batchu' and melodies of gratitude.

Next, the esteemed R' Mordechai Elazar Hirsch, representing the mosdos administration, addressed the gathering. He highlighted the full contributions of the generous-hearted donors and leaders of our holy kehilla, through whom alone the mosdos can continue, and spoke about the expansion of the boundaries of holiness in our holy mosdos in Williamsburg.
R' Mordechai Elazar then paid respects to the government, welcoming Mayor Eric Adams, who arrived accompanied by R' Naftali Moshe Indig. The mayor spoke, saying he will always help our holy kehilla, especially regarding pure chinuch in New York, thanked the community for the support during the mayoral election, and promised to stand ready to help in the future for pure chinuch in New York.
Then the mayor approached to receive the Rebbe's blessing, and R' Mordechai Elazar continued with his address.

At around 10:45, the assembled had the privilege of hearing the fiery holy address, the word of Hashem and guidance for the year, from the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a. First the Rebbe spoke in praise of the mosdos and the obligation to support the holy mosdos, and then shared words of Torah from the teachings of the holy Rebbe, the Baal HaNes zy"a. He continued about Torah study in the Yesodei HaTorah group, which has now begun Maseches Sotah, about the importance of going to the mikvah before davening, the topic of women's attire, and the anguish caused when tznius is neglected.
The Rebbe mentioned the situation of war in Eretz Yisroel, especially the murder of a Torah scholar, a halachic authority, last week, may Hashem avenge it speedily in our days, the pain over all Jewish souls who are, sadly, lost. It is not 'us' and 'them'; we have no part in the state, their military is not our military. We share in the pain of our brethren in Eretz Yisroel, and we pray for rescue but not for the success of the Zionists. The Rebbe cried out his pain when seeing certain leaders strengthening the Zionist military, sending dancers to eaters of neveilos and treifos. He recalled a gathering after the founding of the state at which the holy Rebbe, the Baal HaNes zy"a, said that the state has no legitimacy; something that is against the Torah has no legitimacy! In particular the Rebbe mentioned the protest in Washington, where the Agudas Yisroel party officially supported participating in the gathering, which was to strengthen Zionism, with men and women mixed, most of them Shabbos desecrators who have cast off the yoke.
Then the Rebbe spoke at length about the situation in the struggle for pure chinuch in New York. The Rebbe mentioned the earlier decrees regarding religion: metzitzah b'peh, the closing of batei medrash, Torah institutions and camps during Corona, and more, when all of Klal Yisroel was resolute and the government saw that we are a stiff-necked people. Also now, when the government demands that one of seven options be chosen for the mosdos, we must stand firm and not respond to the government. "Chazak v'nischazek." He issued a call to all upright mosdos, heaven forbid, not to be swayed by those who mislead the public and not to respond to the government. The Rebbe mentioned a meeting in Monsey by government agencies, where all the mosdos in Rockland County jointly decided to ignore the meeting and no one showed up. "Yafe asisem" — and only so, b'ezras Hashem, will we succeed. The Rebbe concluded with his holy blessing to all the assembled.

After the holy words, the Rebbe recited Birkas Hamazon over a cup. The event concluded at around 11:45. On his way out, the Rebbe shlit"a thanked the askanim who helped for the success of the gathering, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
