Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayishlach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Rebbe put on the shtreimel for the chosson Wolf, son of Moshe Yitzchak Itzkowitz.

On Friday night at around 5:00, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha.
After Mincha, HaRav R' Eliyahu Shlomo Kahn shlit"a stood up and made an appeal on behalf of the workers of the Kiryas Joel mosdos, to be held this Motzei Shabbos.
Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon R' Lipa Yoel Fischer shlit"a. The davening ended at around 6:40. The congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy dwelling.

At around 8:30 the Rebbe entered the Shabbos seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidei hamesivta, and began, as is his custom, Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the chosson Yisroel Dushinsky, son of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the Ohel Feiga beis medrash shlit"a. Lifting of the cup: R' Yeshaya Panet shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Yeshaya Panet shlit"a. Menucha V'Simcha: HaRav HaTzaddik R' Yaakov Shlomo Kahana shlit"a of Zidichov, Yerushalayim.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a Torah discourse on the verse "Save me, please, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esav," and explained, in the manner of a derush, the sugya of the prohibition of ona'ah toward a non-Jew.

Stories and anecdotes: this week the Rebbe shlit"a related about the great maggid, the holy Rabbi R' Ber zy"a, whose yahrzeit fell on Shabbos, 19 Kislev.

Kah Ribon Olam: HaGaon R' Yitzchak Shalom Friedman shlit"a, moreh tzedek. The new chassanim went over to take fruit. Also held was the Shalom Zachar for the newborn son of R' Simcha Yisroel Appel, as was the bris on the eighth day: HaGaon R' Pinchas Schlesinger shlit"a, rosh yeshivah of our holy yeshiva in London, yatzliach. Afterwards they continued singing Chasdei Hashem in honor of the Yom HaHatzalah, 21 Kislev, this week. The seudah ended at around 11:15.

On the holy day of Shabbos

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 9:20. Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Moshe Goldberger. The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis, and sent HaRav HaTzaddik R' Yaakov Shlomo Kahana shlit"a of Zidichov, Yerushalayim, to lead the chazaras hashatz.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a Torah discourse on the verse "And Yaakov sent messengers before him," and explained that the test of wealth is truly greater than the test of poverty, but when the blessing comes from Hashem alone, one is saved from it; with the power of Shabbos, we merit that the blessing of wealth be a pure blessing.
