Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Toldos — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Rebbe placed the shtreimel on the chassan Wolf, the bochur, son of Aharon Yosef Berger.

On Friday night at around 5:05, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon R' Yaakov Feldman shlit"a. They finished at around 6:40.
After davening, an appel was held for Talmud Torah Mishas Binyamin in Kiryas Joel, the holy city. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy dwelling.

At around 8:30, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the grandson of the Rebbe, the chassan Meir Eliezer, son of the Gaon, Rav of the beis medrash Birkas Moshe shlit"a. Hagbaha of the cup: R' Tzvi Akiva Breitstein, president of our kehilla and our holy mosdos in Beit Shemesh.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Tzvi Akiva Breitstein; Menucha V'Simcha: the grandson of the Rebbe, HaGaon R' Zalman Leib Teitelbaum shlit"a, rebbi in Yeshivas Derech HaTorah.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And he smelled the fragrance of his garments," and explained in the way of aggadah that the holy Avos, with their luminous eyes, were able to recognize whether something was kosher by seeing whether the name of Hashem shone upon it.

Stories and accounts: This week the Rebbe shlit"a first related a story about the holy Gaon, the Yismach Moshe zy"a, connected to the Torah, and afterwards about the holy R' Aharon of Chernobyl zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls on Wednesday, 9 Kislev.

On Shabbos morning, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 9:30. Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Berel Stein. The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis.

After his aliyah, the Rebbe called out the name in honor of the birth of a daughter for:

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 5:05. Mincha: R' Yoel, the baal tefillah, Feldman (Williamsburg). Hotza'ah and Hachnasah: R' Moshe Yaakov Buxbaum. Kohen: R' Chaim Turnheim. Levi: HaGaon R' Shmuel Ephraim Gold shlit"a. Shlishi: R' Nosson Yosef Green (Williamsburg). Hagbaha: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelila: R' Eliezer Dovid Glick.

At Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe honored people with the zemiros. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen; Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And he smelled the fragrance of his garments and blessed him," and explained that Yitzchak Avinu saw with his ruach hakodesh that there would be confusion of minds amid the clouds of galus and geulah and faith in the coming of Moshiach, so he hinted that one should believe that only the one and only Creator can and will redeem us and give back Eretz Yisroel, and only He will take vengeance for the spilled Jewish blood.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Avrohom Schwartz (London); Kel Mistatter: R' Moshe Dovid Reich (Williamsburg). The Rebbe made a blessing over the cup and recited Sheva Berachos.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Eliezer Weiss. After Havdalah, the congregation went over to wish a gutte voch. They finished at around 7:30.
On Motzei Shabbos at around 11:15, the Rebbe shlit"a went to the halls of Kinor Dovid for the siyum on Hilchos Shabbos by the "Kollel Kinyan Shabbos" of Mivtzar HaKollelim in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe drank lechayim and extended good wishes to the entire assembly, delivered divrei Torah on the importance and significance of learning Hilchos Shabbos, and concluded with his holy blessing to all the learners and the kollel's administration. The Rebbe left the hall at around 11:30.
