Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Ki Seitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, HaGaon Rabbi Moshe Meir Brief shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Ibran, paid a visit to the Rebbe shlit"a in his holy home.

On Friday night at around 8:15, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon Rabbi Eliezer Mordechai Efraim Sofer shlit"a, Rav of our holy kehilla in Linden.

After davening, an appeal was held for Kollel Eitz Chaim in Bnei Brak. It concluded at around 9:45, the crowd went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 10:15, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shabbos seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and, as is his holy custom, began Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Lo silbash shaatnez" and explained, in the manner of a derush, the sugya of "aseh docheh lo saaseh."

The Rebbe entered for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 8:15. The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Ki seitzei lamilchama al oyevecha" and explained that through giving tzedakah and chesed, one arouses the mercies of Hashem Yisbarach, so that when one does teshuva for his sins, He forgives even the sins for which one does not do teshuva because he does not remember them. He continued with powerful words of inspiration regarding the days of mercy and Selichos, that one must make use of the days of Elul for this. There is much to accomplish in this month, and then the Ribbono Shel Olam is "Chanun HaMarbeh Lisloach."

After Havdalah, the crowd went over to wish a good week. Afterwards, the Rebbe recited Kiddush Levana in front of the Beis Medrash HaGadol and wished the entire crowd "a good week and a good month." It ended at around 10:50.
