Wednesday, Parshas Ki Seitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the hall of the Yeshiva Ketana, Yitav Panim branch, under the direction of HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Leib Zilberstein shlit"a.
The Rebbe lit 5 candles and led the davening as the chazan in honor of the yahrzeit of his grandfather, the Heitev Lev zy"a, and after davening the shofar was blown.

Afterwards a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash. Several nigunim were sung, and the menahel, HaRav Chaim Leib shlit"a, spoke. The Rebbe drank lechayim and blessed the rebbeim of the yeshiva and all the bochurim, and then shared words of Torah about the importance of engaging in Torah study to prepare for the holy days, and spoke about the teachings of the one whose hilula it is, which obligate every person, and concluded with abundant blessings.

In the afternoon at around 4:30 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at our great beis medrash in Monsey, where there were times of entry to the Rebbe's private room, in preparation for the days of mercy and favor, for hundreds of men of the Monsey community, who entered the inner sanctum to be remembered for salvation and mercy.

During the entry times, the Gaon Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a also entered together with the rabbonim of the Va'ad HaChinuch of our holy kehilla. The Rebbe went over the new takanos and safeguards that were established at the gathering of righteous women of our holy kehilla several months ago. The Rebbe reviewed them with great seriousness, then signed the takanos with his holy hand and gave them to the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a to sign.

At around 8:10 the Rebbe davened Mincha. The Rebbe lit 5 candles and approached the amud.

After Mincha, at around 8:30, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the hall of the beis medrash for the pure shulchan in honor of the holy hilula. After the fish course, the Rebbe made a siyum on Shas, which had been learned by members of the kehilla, and then recited Kaddish.

During the seudah, stirring nigunim were sung. With "Michtam L'Dovid," the Rebbe honored HaRav R' Aharon Teitelbaum shlit"a, rav of the Etz Chaim Sigut beis medrash in Monsey.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered lengthy holy words and guidance about the teachings of the one whose hilula it is, along with words of preparation for the Yamim Noraim, may they come upon us for good. He then spoke in praise of our kehilla and our holy mosdos in Monsey, which, Baruch Hashem, is part of "Monsey above," and is growing in quantity and quality under the guidance of the esteemed rav shlit"a, together with distinguished and devoted people engaged in the holy work, who toil hard to elevate the honor of the kehilla and the mosdos and to build magnificent buildings with wondrous self-sacrifice, both batei medrash and the buildings of the mosdos, which are being built at a pace beyond the natural order. In this connection the Rebbe urged not to send bochurim to outside yeshivos, since this leads to ending up in Eretz Yisroel, and to keep the safeguards and fences that were instituted in matters of tznius after the large gathering in the kehilla for all righteous women. He concluded with abundant blessings for the entire public.

The Rebbe honored the Gaon Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a with leading Birkas Hamazon. It ended at around 10:00.

After the shulchan, the Rebbe continued receiving the public until around 12:30 at night, when the Rebbe davened Maariv. He then traveled home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
