Thursday, Parshas Eikev — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, brissin took place.
For the newborn son of R' Yosef Leib Lebovitch, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
For the newborn son of R' Meir Perl, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
For the newborn son of R' Yoel Rosenfeld, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for Hagbah, and after davening he taught the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 18, verse 4. Afterwards the talmidim of the yeshiva went over to greet the Rebbe, and a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

A few minutes later the Rebbe entered the lechayim gathering, amid drums and dancing, in honor of the kiddushin engagement (kishur chasunah) of his grandson, the chasan HaRav Yoel shlit"a, one of the outstanding talmidim of the yeshiva, son of the HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a.
Songs of joy and gratitude were sung. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the chasan, the mechutanim and all the bochurim well, delivered words of Torah in honor of the occasion, and concluded with abundant blessings for all the bochurim. Afterwards the chasan said the pshetl and it was sung in as is customary. The singing of joyous songs continued, and the Rebbe rose to dance.

Before concluding, the Rebbe once again delivered brief words of Torah and expressed his joy and excitement at receiving so many answers to the question he had left in the yeshiva before departing for the Rebbe's father's hilula (lit. "le'ilui nishmas").

In the afternoon hours the Rebbe went on his weekly visit to the Beis HaShechita HaMehuderes.

In the afternoon at around 6:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim HaRav R' Lipa Somet shlit"a and R' Yoel Shmaya, in Kinor Dovid hall.

Entry times for the Rebbe's holy room were from around 7:40 until 12:40 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Court.
