This past Tuesday, in the Satmar Rebbe's holy home in Williamsburg, the ceremony of the start of writing a Sefer Torah took place. It is being written by his grandson, HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Hersh, rav of the Beis Medrash Maharsha of Ratzfert, together with the congregants of the beis medrash, l'iluy nishmas the holy R' Shalom Eliezer of Ratzfert zy"a.

It was arranged after a rumor spread concerning the Sefer Torah of Ratzfert that arrived in New York, and was handed over by the Beirach Moshe zy"a to the Beis Medrash HaGadol in Kiryas Joel on Shavuos 5750,
Afterwards the Rebbe gave his holy blessings to the congregants of the beis medrash and to his grandson, the Rabbi shlit"a.
