Shabbos Parshas Pinchas "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the resort town of Bethlehem, New Hampshire.

This week, the talmidim of the Mesivta, the Divrei Yoel branch and the Eitz Chaim branch, shiur gimmel, had the privilege of spending Shabbos "B'tzeil HaKodesh."

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, after the mikvah, the yeshiva talmidim presented answers to the Rebbe's question:

On Friday night at around 9:05, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos. The Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Yoel Meisels shlit"a, son of the son-in-law of the Rebbe, HaGaon Rabbi Meisels, rav of the Yismach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a, led the davening.

The davening ended at around 10:30. The tzibbur wished a good Shabbos and shook hands, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 11:10, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shulchan Aruch tish in the main hall of the beis medrash together with the yeshiva talmidim and many guests, and began, as is his custom, Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.

Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yisroel Dushinsky, son of HaGaon Rabbi Dushinsky, rav of the Ohel Feiga beis medrash shlit"a. Raising the cup: HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Reishis Chochmah shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "The name of the man was Zimri son of Salu," and explained in the manner of derush the question of whether there is a notice (moda'ah).

This week, the Rebbe shlit"a related stories and episodes about the holy R' Yehoshuale of Tomashov zy"a, whose yahrzeit fell on Shabbos, 19 Tammuz.

Kah Ribon Olam: HaGaon R' Avrohom Yaakov Yakov shlit"a, rebbi in the yeshiva. The new chasanim went around to take fruit.

Afterwards, the Shalom Zachor took place for the Rebbe's grandson, a newborn son born to Rabbi Yoel Meisels shlit"a. Snacks and beer were brought in, the Rebbe drank lechayim and blessed the baal simcha and the entire tzibbur, and joyous songs were sung.
Az Bayom HaShevi'i: Rabbi Yekusiel Hersh Levy shlit"a, rebbi in the yeshiva. It ended at around 2:00.

On Shabbos morning, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 9:45. Pesukei D'zimra: HaGaon R' Yosef Mordechai Wagshal shlit"a. The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis, and HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Reishis Chochmah shlit"a, was sent to lead the chazaras hashatz.

Ra'avah D'ra'avin

Before the fish, the Rebbe shlit"a tasted dairy foods and drank coffee, as was the custom of the holy Divrei Chaim zy"a on a Shabbos during the Bein Hametzarim.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Pinchas son of Elazar son of Aharon the Kohen turned back My wrath from the Children of Israel," and explained that Pinchas brought into the Jewish people that the power of tefillah goes together with Torah, Torah is life, and through this one can easily merit "and he atoned for the Children of Israel" without suffering or death, Heaven forbid.

For Maariv on Motzei Shabbos, the Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud on the occasion of the yahrzeit of the Amah shel Malchus this week. After Havdalah, people went over to wish a good week. It ended at around 11:20.
