Thursday, Parshas Pinchas, 17 Tammuz — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis at around 8:45. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Moshe Yaakov Yuda Wertzberger (Kiryas Joel).

The aliya was purchased by R' Moshe Yaakov Yuda Wertzberger, and the Rebbe thanked him. Hagbah: R' Yisroel Meir Wertzberger (Kiryas Joel), Gelilah: the boy Moshe Siman (Kiryas Joel).

After davening, the Rebbe walked home together with his relative, HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of the Yismach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a. On the way, a pleasant conversation developed about the visit to the mehudar slaughterhouse for cattle in Postville, Iowa, and the Rebbe spoke about various interesting matters related to the shechita.

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha at around 9:00. Upon arriving, the Rebbe greeted his longtime chavrusa, HaGaon Rabbi Yaakov Eliyahu Unsdorfer shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Reishis Chochmah in Montreal.
