Chol HaMoed Pesach, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Sunday, the Second Day of Chol HaMoed

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yoel Yermiash, at which the Rebbe was sandek.

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis at around 10:10. Baal tefillah: HaRav R' Yoel ben R' Hirsch; the Rebbe approached for Hallel.

In the evening, HaGaon R' Berel Tauber shlit"a came for a visit with the Rebbe. He later spoke with a derasha in the main beis medrash. A pleasant conversation developed, and the Rebbe gave him his holy blessings.

At around 8:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his private beis medrash, and at around 9:00 he entered for Maariv and then approached to count the Sefirah.

Monday, the Third Day of Chol HaMoed

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis at around 10:00. Baal tefillah: HaRav Elchanan Taub. The Rebbe recited the Zechiros verse by verse, and approached for Hallel.
Pesicha: HaRav R' Yudel Katz, and HaRav Shraga Gandel shlit"a. Kohen: the baal bris R' Efraim Fishel Katz. Levi: HaRav R' Yehoshua Mordechai Wertzberger. Shlishi: the baal bris R' Shalom Yitzchak Eckstein. Hagbah: HaRav R' Hershel Katz (of Williamsburg). Gelilah: HaRav R' Yitzchak Moshe Frankel.

In the evening, the dayanim visited the Rebbe: HaGaon R' Yisroel Meir Eckstein shlit"a, dayan for monetary matters and member of the Beis Din Tzedek of Kiryas Joel; HaGaon R' Shmuel Yuda Brisk shlit"a, dayan of Tosh; and HaGaon R' Yehoshua Heshel Friedman shlit"a, rosh kollel of Levushei Choshen. They led the "Maamad Mishpat Tzedek" in the main beis medrash. A splendid Torah conversation developed about various questions that arise in dinei Torah, and about the times when the Beirach Moshe zy"a conducted dinei Torah, and the Rebbe gave his holy blessings.

At around 8:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his private beis medrash, and at 8:50 he entered for Maariv.

Later, HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Menachem Meir Weissmandl shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Nitra Monsey, visited the Rebbe. A longer, friendly conversation took place about various questions that arise on Yom Tov, especially on Pesach, and the Rebbe gave him his holy blessings.

Afterwards, HaGaon R' Aharon Mordechai Brisk shlit"a, dayan of Tosh Monsey and author of Otzar HaZmanim al HaMoadim, visited together with HaGaon R' Yoel Yitzchak Stern shlit"a, dayan of Dinov Kiryas Joel. A splendid conversation took place about various halachic questions in several matters, and the Rebbe gave his holy blessings.

Tuesday, the Fourth Day of Chol HaMoed, Erev Yom Tov

In the morning, before Shacharis, the brissin took place.
For the newborn son of R' Yoel Reich, at which the Rebbe was sandek.
For the newborn son of R' Yaakov Naftali Pinchas Gutman, at which the Rebbe was sandek.
