Last night, Motzei Shabbos, a lavish Melaveh Malka titled "Matzdikei HaRabbim" — a "Gathering of Melamdim" — took place for all the melamdim of our holy mosdos in Kiryas Joel, in the halls of Beis Rochel Paradise, under the leadership of the president of the mosdos, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a. First, HaRav HaGaon R' Berel Gurelnik shlit"a spoke. Afterwards, the Rebbe delivered powerful words of guidance to the melamdim, along with words of praise for the Kiryas Joel mosdos, their fruits, and the melamdim. Among other things, the Rebbe recalled a story about the elderly HaRav HaGaon R' Mordechai Herskowitz, a melamed of young children in our holy mosdos in Kiryas Joel. When he was asked what he does, he said he is a diamond cutter, and he has 25 diamonds!! "And this is what every melamed needs to know: he has 25 diamonds in the cheder!! This means that with the talmidei Torah in Kiryas Joel there are 5,000 diamonds!!!" The Rebbe also bestowed powerful holy blessings.
