Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Ki Sisa, Shabbos Parah, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a put on the shtreimlach for the chasanim.

On Friday night at around 6:35, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos. Mishabbek: R' Shmuel HaKohen Friedman.

The davening concluded at around 8:10. The crowd went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe shlit"a went into his private room.

A short time after davening, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 9:20. Pesukei D'zimra: R' Michel Greenfeld (Williamsburg). The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Shacharis, beginning with Yotzer, and Mechalkel Chaim and Mimkomcha were sung as is the custom.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse in the reading, "Zos chukas haTorah, v'yikchu eilecha parah adumah," and explained that the parah adumah comes to awaken the Jewish children to teshuva. "One who comes to purify himself is assisted," but first there must be an isarusa d'letata. How does one come to open even an opening the size of a needle's eye? Only through the power of the tzaddikim. When the parsha of Parah is read, the power of Moshe Rabbeinu and of the tzaddikim of all generations is present, and they help one purify himself before the Creator.

After Havdalah, talmidim of the yeshiva gedolah in Boro Park who had spent Shabbos b'tzeil hakodesh entered for a farewell in the Rebbe's holy home.
