At around 8:30, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Friday night seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidei hamesivta, and began, in his holy way, "Sholom Aleichem" with feeling and sweetness.

At Kiddush in his holy home, joyous songs were sung in honor of the simcha of the Kiddusha Rabba of the Rebbe's granddaughter, a newborn daughter born to HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a. The Kiddusha Rabba simcha took place in the Eitz Chaim Sighet beis medrash in Williamsburg, with the participation of a large crowd from members of our Williamsburg kehilla. She was named Hinda in the name of the Rebbetzin of Kiviashd a"h.

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 5:15. For the Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a based himself on the verse "God sent me before you to establish for you a remnant in the land," and explained that the negative middos of jealousy, desire and honor remove a person from the world, causing him to lose the title "adam." This was the avodah of Yosef HaTzaddik and his two sons Menashe and Ephraim: to uproot these bad middos and teach it to Klal Yisroel, and in this way they merited the receiving of the Torah.

Afterwards, the Rebbe shlit"a went down to Heichal Rosenberg, where parents learn together with their children as part of the program "V'shinantam L'vanecha." The Rebbe walked among the tables and looked around with great nachas for an extended time. It concluded at around 7:45.
