Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayeira — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a placed the shtreimel on the chassanim:
- The chassan Kalman Eliezer, son of R' Shlomo Hersh Eckstein.
- The chassan Yoel Zev, son of R' Yoshe Ber Schwartz.

At around 6:30 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha.
- Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Yitzchak Elyakim Schwartz.
They finished at around 8:00. An appeal was held for the Williamsburg Kollel, the congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:50 the Rebbe entered the holy table in the Heichal HaMesivta together with the talmidei hayeshiva, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with great feeling and sweetness.
- Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the young Yissachar Ber, may he live, son of the son-in-law of the Rebbe, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the beis medrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a.
- Hagbahas HaKos: HaGaon R' Moshe, son of HaGaon R' Yoshe Asher Kahana shlit"a (Yerushalayim).
- Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon R' Moshe Kahana shlit"a.
- Menucha V'Simcha: Rabbi Shlomo, son of HaGaon R' Mendel Hersh Kahana shlit"a (Williamsburg).

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "And I will take a morsel of bread, and sustain your heart," and explained it in the manner of derush in the sugya of "a verse is expounded before him and before those before him."

On Shabbos Kodesh morning the Rebbe entered for davening at around 9:40.

The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis.

Before the Torah reading, the shamash, R' Yoel Kaufman, made an announcement on behalf of the kehilla's leadership and the mosdos about the importance of going to vote in the elections.

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And Hashem appeared to him in the plains of Mamre," and explained that through learning Torah one merits to hear the bas kol and thus be awakened to teshuva; "And it shall be, if you hear the old, you shall hear the new" - that if one learns Torah with fixed times, then "you shall hear the new," one will hear the fresh bas kol that goes forth every day.

He strongly urged everyone to make sure to have a shiur in learning Torah with absolute consistency, and through this one will merit to be able to hear the bas kol.

The Rebbe recited the blessing over the cup.

After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a gutte voch.
They finished at around 8:50.

At around 10:15, the kriyas hatenaim of the mechutanim R' Yaakov Shimon Kaufman and R' Shlomo Moshe Weinberger took place in the Rebbe's holy residence. The Rebbe read the tenaim, drank lechayim, and blessed the chassan, the mechutanim, the elder grandfather from Shabbos Kodesh, R' Yoshe Mendlowitz, and the whole family.

At around 10:30 the Rebbe went to the home of R' Yitzchak Eizik Friedman for a siyum on Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, Hilchos Brachos, by the "Kinyan HaBracha" group under the auspices of Mivtzar HaKollelim, headed by the Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Meir Yuda Ashkenazi shlit"a. A fine discussion on the halachos of brachos took place, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and extended his holy blessing to Rabbi Meir Yuda Ashkenazi shlit"a and to all the members of the group.

At around 10:50 the Rebbe went to the new headquarters of the "Chaverim" organization on Eckers Street, affixed a mezuzah, and looked around the premises. Afterwards a lechayim gathering was held, at which R' Aharon Yosef Landau spoke.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and delivered divrei kodesh, emphasizing the importance of the Chaverim volunteers who help Yidden at all times and in all situations, which is the trait of Avrohom Avinu and brings forth chesed and rachamim for everyone. He wished HaGaon R' Lipa Berkowitz shlit"a, who stands at the head of the organization, that "the word of Hashem, this is the halacha," and who ensures that every matter, small and large, is fully maintained, and he concluded with his holy blessing to the entire gathering. Afterwards the Rebbe went around to all the rooms and wished the heads of the organization well.

At around 11:15 the Rebbe went to the halls of Beis Rochel Paradise for the public farhер of the "V'Talmidov B'Yado" group under the auspices of the yeshivos ketanos of our holy mosdos throughout Greater New York. HaGaon R' Shlomo Shabsai Kestenbaum shlit"a, one of the rabbonim of our kehilla in Williamsburg, and HaGaon R' Avrohom Schwartz shlit"a (Williamsburg), tested the bochurim by heart, and the Rebbe also asked several questions of the bochurim and watched with great nachas.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the heads and leadership of the group, R' Yitzchak Schwartz, patron of the group, and all the bochurim well, and delivered divrei kodesh on the verse "And I will take a morsel of bread," expressing the pleasure of seeing so many bochurim being tested on dozens of masechtos by heart, and wished that they should be able to continue going masechta after masechta, and concluded with his holy blessing.

At around 12:30 a group of bochurim, graduates of the Heichal HaTorah branch of the yeshiva ketana of Williamsburg, entered the Rebbe's holy residence together with the principal, Rabbi Yudel Stolzenberg shlit"a, and presented themselves for a farhер with the Rebbe on their learning of the past three years on Maseches Gittin, Bava Kamma and Beitza. The Rebbe tested the bochurim for an extended time, after which the bochurim went over to receive his holy blessing and the Rebbe gave each bochur a silver becher.

Also entering the Rebbe's holy residence was Assemblyman "Chris Eckos," who represents Kiryas Joel and is running for re-election, together with R' Gedalya Segelin - Village Administrator, and R' Simcha Eichenstein - Assemblyman from Boro Park. The Rebbe thanked him for his constant help on behalf of Kiryas Joel and for his help in advancing the legislation to save the chassidic chinuch in New York, and they discussed at length various matters in which he will, IY"H, stand ready to help Kiryas Joel's ongoing expansion of the boundaries of kedusha, in order to keep housing prices affordable, and the Rebbe extended to him his holy blessing.

Friday, Erev Shabbos, Parshas Vayeira, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, the brissen took place.
- For the newborn son of R' Chaim Elazar Schwartz, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Aryeh Simcha Kaufman, where the Rebbe was sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Branch Divrei Yoel. Upon arriving, the Rebbe looked over the construction work at the yeshiva building, where a new wing is being added to make room for more classes to accommodate the growth of the yeshiva's students, may they increase.

Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Yoel, son of Betzalel Binyomin Friedrich.
- The bochur Eliezer Tzvi Neiman.
- The bochur Meir Perl.

Thursday, Parshas Vayeira, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Branch Birchas Moshe. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Mordechai Yuda Cohen.
- The bochur Shneur Zalman Eisenbach.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah. After davening, he learned a sugya as a shiur in the yeshiva's shiurim. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the morning hours, the Rebbe paid a visit to the matzah bakery of our holy kehilla.

In the afternoon hours, State Senator James Skoufis, who represents Kiryas Joel and is running for reelection, came in for a private audience at the Rebbe's holy home, together with the Kiryas Joel administration. The Rebbe thanked him for his critical help in defeating the legislation to save the Jewish chinuch in New York. They also discussed at length many matters in which he will, IY"H, assist Kiryas Joel's ongoing expansion of the holy borders so that apartment prices can be kept affordable, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him his holy blessing.

At around 6:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Zanz St.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:
- HaRav R' Yechezkel Frankel and HaRav R' Meir Eli Acker, in the halls of Kinor David.
- HaRav R' Shalom Schwartz and HaRav R' Yoel Scher, in the halls of Beis Rochel Paradise.
- HaRav R' Chaim Yuda Teller and HaRav R' Moshe Yitzchok Lebrecht, in the halls of Ginas Klein.

Private audience hours were from 8:30 until 12:20 at night, at the Rebbe's holy home on Uhel St.

At around 9:45, the Rebbe went down to the halls of his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tnaim of the mechutanim HaRav R' Moshe Yechezkel Fish and HaRav R' Yaakov Leib Cohen.

During the audience hours, Congressman Mike Lawler, who represents the city of Monsey and is running for reelection, came in for a private audience together with the Kiryas Joel administration and the heads and askanim of our holy kehilla and mosdos in Monsey. The Rebbe thanked him for his help in maintaining government assistance for yeshivas in America and for his ongoing help in many other matters. In particular, they discussed at length many matters in which he will, IY"H, assist our holy kehilla and mosdos in Monsey, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him his holy blessing.

Also appearing for a farher in private audience was the young man (bochur) Avrohom Yitzchok, son of Yuda Menachem Zev Engel (Bnei Brak), one of the outstanding students of the Divrei Yoel branch.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:20.

- For the newborn son of R' Shimon son of R' Yisroel Heilbrunn, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Vayoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The son of HaRav R' Yoel Aryeh Stern shlit"a.
- The bochur Chananya Binyamin Hirsch.
- The bochur Yoel son of R' Shmuel Rosenfeld.
- The bochur Reuven Glantz.

After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 33, verse 3. Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva, Berach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at about 5:50 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.
- The mishamesh, R' Yoel Kaufman and R' Yoel Weinstock, in the halls of Kinor David.
- R' Yosef Zev Moizkopf and R' Yaakov Yokel Hirsch, in the halls of Beis Rochel Paradise.

Tuesday, Parshas Vayeira — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yaakov son of R' Aharon Schwartz, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Etz Chaim branch, Shiur Gimmel. After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 33, verse 9. Afterward, he affixed a mezuzah on the entrance to the heichal of the beis medrash, which has been expanded in recent days.

At about 5:45, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Zanz Street (Rodney Street) 9.

In the evening, the Rebbe traveled into Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.
The yechidus hours in the private room took place from 8:30 until 12:15 after midnight, in his holy home on Hewes Street.

During the yechidus hours, HaGaon Rabbi Anshil Shaer shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Classon, entered the private room to receive the Rebbe's blessing on the occasion of the marriage of his youngest daughter, mazel tov. A pleasant conversation ensued about wedding customs and in praise of our holy kehilla in Linden, where his son-in-law, HaGaon Rabbi Eliezer Mordechai Sofer shlit"a, serves as rav of our kehilla, and the Rebbe entrusted him with his holy blessing.

A meeting was also held with the education committee of our holy mosdos, in preparation for the 'Masoraseinu' gathering to be held this coming Wednesday, Chayei Sarah, for all the young married men who have been married in the last five years, at which the Rosh Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a will speak as an urgent matter of the hour, on a holy mission from the Rebbe shlit"a. They went over with the Rebbe the exact details of what should be discussed at the event and all the takanos of the mosdos, and the Rebbe gave his blessing.

Also entering the private room were the leadership of Hisachdus Avreichim together with the leadership of the Chaburas Yesodei HaTorah of our holy kehilla in Williamsburg, to invite the Rebbe shlit"a to the siyum on Maseches Bava Kamma, as part of the Chaburas Yesodei HaTorah, this coming Motzei Shabbos Chayei Sarah in Williamsburg. A conversation ensued about the great number of learners and examinees in Chaburas Yesodei HaTorah who are tested every month, and the Rebbe entrusted them with his holy blessing.

Also entering was HaRav R' Yitzchak Motzen shlit"a, who brought his new sefer 'Hoil Moshe' on the Torah, volume 8. A lengthy conversation ensued in words of Torah in the manner of drush and aggada, and the Rebbe thanked him for the sefer and for his weekly 'Hoil Moshe' pamphlets that are published every week, and entrusted him with his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at about 11:20 and afterward continued receiving the public.

Monday, Parshas Vayeira — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Divrei Yoel branch. Upon arriving, the Rebbe looked over the heichal of the beis medrash, which has been expanded in recent days due to the growing number of talmidim.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Yoel Spitzer.
- The bochur Yissachar Dov Wertheimer.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went to hagbah. After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 33, verse 13. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

During the morning hours, HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Meir Halberstam shlit"a, dayan of our beis medrash in Boro Park 18 and son-in-law of the Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park 15 shlit"a, entered for a private audience with the Rebbe to receive his blessing for the upcoming wedding of his son, mazel tov, which will take place on Wednesday, Toldos, in Boro Park. A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe shared of his holy blessing with him and with his son, the chassan.

At around 3:45, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Zanz Street.

After Mincha, at around 4:15, the Rebbe entered the Sheva Brachos celebration in the hall in his holy home, arranged by the Rebbe shlit"a for the members of the family, and to which the gabbaim of the Torasam Umanasam framework of the Mivtzar HaKollelim of Kiryas Joel were invited. This framework is dedicated to encouraging and strengthening the kollel avreichim to review and be tested on their kollel learning.
The Rebbe washed for the seudah. During the seudah, several gabbaim posed various questions regarding Torah learning, the order and methods of learning Torah, being tested on the different areas of Torah, and regarding receiving semicha (rabbinic ordination) in the past and today. The Rebbe answered with sound reasoning and insight, and spoke about the approach of the rabbonim in the old country before the war, along with other interesting information.
Afterwards, the Rebbe delivered words of Torah regarding matters of marriage, and concluded with abundant blessings for the chassan and the mechutanim, and for the askanim and gabbaim who increase Torah among Israel.

Private audience hours were from 8:10 until 11:30 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Street.

During the audience hours, HaGaon HaGadol Rabbi Shmuel Eliezer Stern shlit"a, Rav of Maariv Bnei Brak, paid a visit. A pleasant, lengthy conversation took place on several areas of Shas, on the names in gittin, and on how, Baruch Hashem, the situation in learning Torah in our times is improved. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim, shared of his holy blessing, gave him his sefer Lev Aharon, Drushim for Rosh Hashana and Sukkos, and accompanied him out to the street.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 10:00 and afterwards continued receiving the public.

Sunday, Parshas Vayeira, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah Branch Kedushas Yoel. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Yosef Yeshaya Goldberger.
- The bochur Mordechai Yona Weider.
- The bochur Yehuda Zev Klein.
- The bochur Yoel son of Bentzion Yeshaya Kraus.
- The bochur Yaakov Yehuda Aryeh Motzen.
- The bochur Yeshaya Hersh Glick.

After davening, the Rebbe taught the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 33, verse 13, and spoke about the severity of the prohibition of participating in the impure elections in Eretz Yisroel, which are taking place this week. Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe went over to the Slatpina beis medrash, where a bris for a newborn son was taking place for R' Menashe, son of the Rabbi Asher Yeshaya Horowitz, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
Afterward, a lechayim gathering took place in the main hall of the beis medrash. A beautiful conversation took place about the holy Etz Chaim zy"a. The Rebbe drank lechayim and offered blessings to the father of the baby and his family, and the gabbai R' Wolf Friedlander recited the Mi Sheberach as customary.

At around 6:10 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy residence at Zanz, Kiryas Joel.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppahs of the mechutanim.
- R' Yechiel Dov Friedman and R' Yoel Chaim Filipf in the halls of Kinor David.
- R' Dovid Greenfeld and R' Meir Steinfeld in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.

After the chuppahs, at around 7:45, the Rebbe went over to the Yirei Hashem beis medrash in the Boruch Taam neighborhood in Kiryas Joel Expansion, to the Sheva Brachos in honor of the rav of the beis medrash, HaGaon R' Mordechai Friedman shlit"a, son of the Gaon Av Beis Din of Tenka shlit"a and son-in-law of the Gaon Av Beis Din of Vitka shlit"a. A beautiful conversation took place with the grandfathers, the rabbanim shlit"a. The Rebbe drank lechayim and offered blessings to the chosson, the grandfathers, the rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, and the entire community, and stood up to dance with everyone around him. It concluded at around 8:00.

After the entry times, at around 10:15, the Rebbe went over to the Ohel Piga beis medrash for the Sheva Brachos, hosted by the beis medrash in honor of the Rebbe shlit"a and of his relative the Gaon, the rav of the beis medrash shlit"a.

The Rebbe drank lechayim and offered blessings to the chosson, the mechutanim, and the entire community, and delivered words of Torah regarding the joy of chosson and kallah and in praise of the beis medrash and of the Gaon, the rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, and concluded with his holy blessing for the chosson, for the Gaon, the rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, for the Dushinsky Rebbe shlit"a, and for the entire community.
Afterward, Rabbi Uri Halberstam shlit"a performed with words of badchanus.

Before candle lighting, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chassanim.

At about 6:35 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha.

At about 9:05 the Rebbe entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaMesivta together with the talmidim of the yeshiva, and began, as is his holy custom, Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.

He explained that if an upright Jew has no money and is not healthy, it is a chillul Hashem. He concluded with abundant brachos and wished the entire congregation parnassah in abundance.

At about 10:15, a ceremony of writing the letters took place for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Avrohom Yeshaya Weiss, which will be completed this coming Thursday, Parshas Chayei Sarah, in Beis Medrash Beis Mordechai. The Rebbe wrote several letters, drank a lechayim, and shared of his holy bracha.

A signing of contracts also took place, in which R' Meir Wertheimer purchased the merit of a prayer room in the building of the Beis Medrash HaGadol in Shikun Kiryas Yoel in Bnei Brak, may it be rebuilt. A fine conversation ensued about the importance of Torah in Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe signed the contracts together with the donor and warmly wished R' Meir and his family, as well as the members of the board of baalei batim of Mosdos Yitev Lev, well.

Afterwards, HaGaon R' Shlomo Yaakov Zeida Eichenstein shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Galanta and son of the Galanta Rebbe shlit"a, who was staying in Kiryas Yoel for Shabbos, entered for a private audience. A lengthy conversation took place about stories of the Sanz and Zidichov dynasties, and the Rebbe shared of his holy bracha with him.

Thursday, Parshas Lech Lecha, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the early morning hours, the Rebbe connected by telephone with his brother-in-law, the Vizhnitz Rebbe shlit"a, Yisroel ben Leah Esther, for a refuah sheleimah. The Rebbe inquired about his well-being and wished him a complete and total recovery, that he be renewed like the days of his youth. The Vizhnitzer Rebbe wished the Rebbe shlit"a a mazel tov on the occasion of the wedding of his granddaughter, the kallah tichyeh.

In the morning, the brissin took place.
- For the newborn son of R' Alexander Yisroel Miller, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Yoel Halpert, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Aryeh Leib Levy, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

At the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as Shlishi. After davening, he delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 33, verse 3, and spoke about the importance and power of a proper nigun. He strongly condemned and warned against today's vulgar tunes, music, and dances.
Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon hours, the Rebbe made his weekly visit to the mehudar slaughterhouse.

At around 6:10, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Zanz Street.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppahs of the mechutanim.

During the reception hours, the writing of letters for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Dovid Neustadt (Monsey) took place. The Rebbe wrote in several letters. A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe drank a lechayim and shared from his holy blessing.

Wednesday 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Branch Yoel Moshe. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Yekusiel Yuda Schwartz.
- The bochur Yosef Zev Moizkopf.

After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 33, verse 3. Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

During the morning hours, the Rebbe went on a visit to our holy kehilla's matzah bakery, which began massive production last week in preparation for Yom Tov of Pesach, which is coming to us for good, in order to meet the demand for the mehudar "Kiryas Joel matzos." The Rebbe looked around the entire bakery and heard a report from R' Yoel Shlomo Zaldan, manager of the bakery, about this year's fresh innovations. Afterward, the Rebbe separated challah.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva, Branch Kedushas Yoel, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 5:50, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:

After the brisos, the Rebbe greeted the Spinka Beis Yitzchak Rebbe shlit"a, who davened Shacharis together with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a on the occasion of the bris of his grandson, which took place after davening.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:

After davening, a bris took place for the son born to a grandson of the Spinka Beis Yitzchak Rebbe shlit"a and a grandson of the Mishkenos HaRoim Rebbe shlit"a, to their grandson HaRav Berish Horowitz shlit"a, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

Afterwards, a lechayim took place in Cheder Avrohom Yuda. The Rebbe drank lechayim and extended blessings to the Spinka Beis Yitzchak Rebbe shlit"a, to the baal habris and his family, to the bar mitzvah bochurim, and to the entire congregation. The attendant, R' Yoel Kaufman, recited the Mi Sheberach as customary. Afterwards, the Rebbe connected by telephone with the grandfather, the Mishkenos HaRoim Rebbe shlit"a, and bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.

Afterwards, the Rebbe went over to Beis Medrash Halacha Brurah, where a bris took place for a great-grandson of the esteemed R' Yoshe Mendlowitz, the son born to his grandson HaRav Aharon Mendlowitz shlit"a, son of HaGaon R' Yaakov Elazar z"l, the rav of the beis medrash. The Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
Afterwards, a lechayim gathering took place in the main hall of the beis medrash. A lovely conversation ensued, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and extended his holy blessings, and the attendant, R' Yoel Kaufman, recited the Mi Sheberach as customary.

At about 6:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy residence on Zaunz Street (Keap Street).

In the evening, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
The reception hours took place from 8:30 until 12:00 at night in his holy residence on Hewes Street.

During the reception hours, HaGaon R' Shaul Yechezkel Schwartz shlit"a, dayan of Beis Medrash Lev Aharon of our holy kehilla, came in privately to receive the Rebbe's blessing on the occasion of his daughter's engagement, mazel tov. A longer conversation in halacha took place, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.

The Rebbe also consoled by telephone HaGaon Rabbi Eliyahu Ber Wachtfogel shlit"a, rosh yeshiva of South Fallsburg, who is sitting shiva for his son a"h. The Rebbe inquired about his state of health and wished him a complete recovery and a blessing of consolation.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at about 11:00 and afterwards continued receiving the public.

Monday, Parshas Lech Lecha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Moshe Yaakov Markowitz, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Divrei Yoel branch. During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as the third aliyah.
After davening, the Rebbe led the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 33, verse 13.

In his private room, the Rebbe appointed several bochurim from each branch to serve as monitors, to pay attention and to encourage the chassanim to take only proper music at their weddings. The Rebbe stressed the importance of singing and dancing only to proper, chassidish music at a wedding, and bestowed his holy blessing.

At around 1:45, a special reception took place in the Rebbe's holy home for the esteemed Governor Hochul, may she live and be well, to express the gratitude that the chareidi community has toward the Governor for passing the favorable law last year for the benefit of pure chinuch in New York.
Present were the leadership of the Kiryah, the heads of the kehilla and its mosdos, together with askanim of our holy kehilla and community activists from other cities, among them R' Naftali Moshe Indig, R' Yehuda Leib Zarger, and the chareidi Assemblyman from Boro Park, R' Simcha Eichenstein.
Before the reception, the Governor went over to the Beis HaBayis Rachel building, where, at the directive of the Rebbe shlit"a, a royal reception was held by over 6,500 students, may they live long, in honor of the Governor. Afterward the Governor came to the holy home of the Rebbe shlit"a, where she was received by the Rebbetzin, the righteous tali"ta, and her daughters, with the proper honor due to royalty.

The entire reception was set up with honor in the private room of the Rebbe shlit"a, where the Rebbe sat at one table with all the askanim and the heads of the kehilla and mosdos, while the Governor sat at a separate table together with the Rebbetzin, the righteous tali"ta, and her daughters.
First, the Rebbe shlit"a expressed his gratitude for the help in defending pure chinuch, and thanked the Governor for her constant assistance with every problem. Then the askanim and the Kiryah leadership spoke and thanked her for the favorable housing assistance from the government, which greatly helps in building larger apartment projects, and provides funding for the infrastructure, water, and sewer projects that come along with them. They also asked the Governor to ensure that bureaucratic obstacles not stand in the way of affordable housing projects. At the end, the Rebbe bestowed a holy blessing for the upcoming elections, and the Governor promised to stand ready to help with everything possible during the coming four years. The Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon the askanim present. The meeting concluded at around 2:10.

Afterward, the askan R' Simcha Eichenstein remained in the Rebbe's private room and discussed various matters for the benefit of the community and individuals, and the Rebbe blessed him in light of the upcoming elections, in which he is running for re-election as Assemblyman from Boro Park.
After this visit, the Rebbe went to the mikvah.

At around 3:10 the Rebbe traveled into Williamsburg.
Upon arrival, at approximately 4:40, the Rebbe went to his holy home at the entrance of the Beis Medrash HaGadol.

At around 5:20, the Rebbe entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol, Heichal Meir Zelig, for Mincha.
- Baal tefillah: R' Avrohom Moshe Lebovitch (Kiryas Joel).
After Mincha, the entire congregation, old and young, came forward to bless and be blessed on the day of the chuppah.

After Mincha, at around 5:55, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the reception in the Heichal of the Beis Medrash HaGadol. During the reception, warm songs of inspiration were sung, and R' Mordechai Dovid Oestreicher spoke words of inspiration, enumerating the great lineage of the chassan and kallah and the holy grandfathers who come down to rejoice at the simcha.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to the chassan, the mechutanim, the grandfathers, and the entire assembly, delivered warm holy words and invoked the merit of the forefathers, and at the conclusion bestowed abundant blessings upon the entire assembly.

Afterward, everyone went to the badeken in the halls of Apiryon Krasna. The Rebbe blessed the chassan, and after tzeis hakochavim arranged the kesuba. The witnesses to the kesuba were R' Moshe Goldstein (Kiryas Joel) and R' Yekusiel Dovid Aharon Weiss.

At around 7:20 everyone went out to the chuppah, where the Rebbe shlit"a was honored.
- Reciting the kiddushin: the elder grandfather, HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Paskavitz Czenskovitz shlit"a.
- Reading the kesuba: the grandfather HaGaon Rabbi Shmuel Tzvi Singer shlit"a of Alexander.

After the chuppah, the Rebbe shlit"a bestowed holy blessings upon the entire assembly, and broke out in a mitzvah dance with the grandfathers and mechutanim.

Afterward, the Rebbe davened Maariv in his holy home at the entrance of the Beis Medrash HaGadol.

At around 8:30, the Rebbe entered the wedding seudah. The Rebbe danced for several minutes on the spot and then washed for the seudah. After the fish, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished lechayim to all the people gathered.

At around 9:10 the chassan entered and the Rebbe danced with the chassan for an extended time, and honored the grandfathers and the mechutanim, the Rabbanim HaGeonim shlit"a, to dance with the chassan, and then danced with the entire assembly at the head. Afterward the entire assembly came forward to wish mazel tov to the Rebbe shlit"a.
The Rebbe left the beis medrash at around 10:15 and went to his holy home at the entrance of the Beis Medrash HaGadol.

At his holy home, HaGaon Av Beis Din of Beis Aharon shlit"a came to wish a blessing of mazel tov on the occasion of the wedding simcha. A pleasant conversation ensued about the holy Rebbe R' Shmuel of Gorlitz zy"a, whose yahrzeit fell on the night of 9 Cheshvan, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.

Also entering the Rebbe's private room was HaGaon Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a together with the new directors who were appointed this zman at two branches of the yeshivos ketanos in Williamsburg: HaGaon Rabbi Simcha Rubin shlit"a, son of HaGaon Av Beis Din of Ropshitz shlit"a and son-in-law of the Bobov 45 Rebbe shlit"a, as director of Yeshiva branch Nezer HaTorah, and HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Dovid Panet shlit"a, son of the Karlsburg Rebbe of Montreal shlit"a, as director of Yeshiva branch Chochmas HaTorah, and several members of Mamleches HaTorah.
The Rebbe shlit"a heard a report from the directors on how the new zman has begun with great success, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon the new directors and upon the members of the Mamleches HaTorah leadership.

At around 11:25 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Birkas Hamazon and the mitzvah tantz.

- First blessings: HaGaon, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park 15 shlit"a.
- Final blessing: HaGaon Rabbi Anshil Scheer shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Kleusen.

The badchan of the king, R' Mordechai Dovid Oestreicher, summoned the Rebbe shlit"a to the dancing before the kallah with warm rhymes and invoked the merit of the holy forefathers. They continued with songs of inspiration. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to the chassan, the mechutanim, the grandfathers, and all the people gathered, and then performed the holy dancing before the kallah with fiery enthusiasm for an extended time, and then danced with the chassan and with the Rebbe's mechutan HaGaon, Rav of the beis medrash Ohel Piga shlit"a, and his family.
Afterward the Rebbe broke out in a joyous dance with the Dushinsky Rebbe shlit"a, and then continued with the entire royal family, the grandchildren of the holy Rebbe, the Beirach Moshe zy"a, and danced extra with the Rebbe's mechutan HaGaon, Rav of the beis medrash Ohel Piga shlit"a.
Afterward the Rebbe bestowed blessings upon the chassan and kallah and traveled home to his holy home in Kiryas Joel.

Sunday, Parshas Lech Lecha, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Yoel, son of R' Yitzchak Weiss.
- The bochur Lipa Gottlieb.
- The bochur Moshe Yuda Goldberger.
- The bochur Lipa Gross.

After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 33, verse 13. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

Around 6:10 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home, at the Zanz Kiryas Joel address.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.
- R' Yaakov Yosef Hoffman and R' Chaim Eli Felberbaum, in the halls of Kinor Dovid.
- R' Yosef Sruga and R' Avrohom Yitzchak Kaira, in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.

The yechidus hours were from 7:45 until 11:50 at night in the Rebbe's holy home on Uhel, Kiryas Joel.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 8:00, and after Maariv recited Kiddush Levana in front of his holy home and then continued receiving the public.

During the yechidus hours, the letters were written for the Sefer Torah that is being written by the Gorlitz Rebbe shlit"a and will be brought in on Shabbos Kodesh Parshas Toldos in the city of Csenger in Hungary. The Rebbe wrote several letters, and a pleasant conversation ensued about the holy Baal Menuchas Asher of Csenger zt"l, whose yahrzeit falls on Sunday, Vayeitzei, in Kislev, and about the building of the guesthouse and the beis medrash that is being renewed in the city of Csenger in honor of the yahrzeit. The Rebbe honored those present with a lechayim and bestowed from his holy blessing.

Around 9:30 the Rebbe went down to the halls in his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tnaim of the mechutanim R' Naftali Freund and R' Aharon Shmuel Glantz.
