Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayigash — A Shabbos of Simcha, the Aufruf of the Rebbe's grandson, the chassan Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of HaGaon Rabbi, Rav of the Beis Medrash Beis Baruch shlit"a — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chassanim.
- The chassan Yehuda Elimelech, son of R' Chaim Kornbluh.
- The chassan Elyakim, son of R' Eliezer Herskovits.

Half an hour after candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on his grandson, the chassan Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Teitelbaum shlit"a, and then wished mazel tov to the chassan, the mechutan, and the zeide, HaGaon Rabbi, Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a. Afterwards the Rebbe went to the beis medrash accompanied by the chassan and the mechutanim, amid song and music.

At around 5:10 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and began Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: Rabbi Dovid Eichenstein shlit"a, son of HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a.
They finished at around 6:50. An appeal was held for the Refuah Help organization. Afterwards the congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 8:35 the Rebbe entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidei hayeshiva and began, as is his holy custom, Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
- Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yoel Teitelbaum, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law HaGaon Rabbi, Rav of the Beis Medrash Berech Moshe shlit"a.
- Raising the cup: HaGaon R' Yissachar Berish Rubin shlit"a of Dombrova.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros.
- Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon R' Yissachar Berish Rubin shlit"a.
- Menucha V'Simcha: HaRav R' Meir Yosef Eichenstein shlit"a, son of HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a, currently of Bobov 45, Boro Park.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "U'vnei Dan Chushim" and explained, in the manner of a derush, the topic of whether before Matan Torah the law of a Ben Noach or the law of a Yisroel applied.
Afterwards the Rebbe honored his mechutan, HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a, to say divrei Torah.

Stories: This week the Rebbe shlit"a told over about the holy Sheinover Rav zy"a, whose yahrzeit was on Erev Shabbos, 6 Teves.

The new chassanim went around to take fruit, and bundles were handed out and songs of simcha were sung in honor of the shalom zachar of the Rebbe's grandson, the newborn son of Rabbi Elchanan Chaim Meisels shlit"a, son-in-law of HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.
- Az B'Yom HaShvi'i: HaRav R' Elimelech Halberstam shlit"a (Williamsburg).
They finished at around 11:35.

Shabbos Day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered to daven at around 9:20.
- Brachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: Rabbi Leibush Taub shlit"a.
The Rebbe recited Zachreinu verse by verse, then proceeded to Shacharis, and sent his son, HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash Beis Baruch shlit"a, to lead the chazaras hashatz.

- Removing and returning the Torah: R' Mendel Ber Wieder.
- Pesukei Shema Yisroel: HaRav R' Baruch Weiss shlit"a, Rav of the Beis Medrash of Knizsha.

A few minutes later the Rebbe entered the Kiddusha Rabba simcha in honor of the aufruf in the northern hall of the Beis Medrash HaGadol. The Rebbe made Kiddush and tasted mezonos and fish, songs of simcha were sung, and HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash Beis Baruch shlit"a, spoke in honor of the simcha.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished mazel tov to the chassan and to the entire congregation, and delivered divrei Kodesh on the verse "V'Anochi E'elcha Gam Aloh," explaining it in connection with the topic of marriage, and concluded with abundant brachos. They finished at around 12:50.

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "Al Tirah Mrdah Mitzraymah Ki L'Goy Gadol Asimcha Sham" and explained that by having faith in Hashem and engaging in Torah, one is attached to Hashem and is called a "baal chai," and one cannot be pushed away from kedusha, and teshuva is effective.

The Rebbe led the bentching over a cup and recited Sheva Brachos.

After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a gut voch.

Afterwards the Rebbe went down to the Heichal HaTorah and looked in on the learning programs of "V'Shinantam L'Vanecha." The Rebbe walked among the tables for an extended time with great nachas. They finished at around 7:45.

Motzei Shabbos — A Day of Joy

At around 9:40 a lechayim celebration was held at the Rebbe's residence in honor of the finalization of the purchase of a large property for the building of a new, grand beis medrash gadol for our holy kehilla in the Zera Kodesh neighborhood of expanded Kiryas Joel, with the participation of the rabbanim and residents of the neighborhood, the kehilla's administration, and the members of the committee for expanding the city's borders.
Several songs were sung in honor of the occasion, and R' Dovid Eckstein of Eretz Yisroel and R' Tuvia Lipa Gross, a prominent resident of the neighborhood and chairman of the building fund's administration, spoke.
The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a blessing, expressed the joy of the neighborhood's residents, and wished that the construction of the beis medrash be begun and completed soon, to increase and glorify Torah, and concluded with his holy blessing for the rabbanim and residents of the neighborhood.

Afterwards the start of writing a Sefer Torah took place through R' Baruch Lipa Levi. The Rebbe wrote the first letters. A pleasant conversation ensued with the members of the kehilla's administration who were present about the beneficial activities of R' Baruch Lipa to uplift our holy kehilla and all the gatherings and tishen b'tzeil hakodesh. The Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed of his holy blessing.

At around 10:40 the Rebbe arrived at the mezuzah-affixing and chanukas habayis ceremony at our new and magnificent beis medrash, "Beis Medrash Yisroel Shalom," in the V'Yoel Moshe neighborhood, the donation of the distinguished philanthropist R' Akiva Hersh Klein. The Rebbe toured the new, magnificent mikvah accompanied by his son, HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash shlit"a, and then affixed a mezuzah on the gate of the beis medrash. He then toured the 4 prayer rooms and the women's section, and honored his son, HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash shlit"a, to affix mezuzos, and then honored the benefactor of the beis medrash.
The Rebbe then entered the sanctuary of the beis medrash for the lechayim celebration. Upon entering, the Rebbe danced in place for a while. HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash shlit"a, spoke.
Songs of simcha were sung. The Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly wished mazel tov to his son, HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash shlit"a, to HaRav R' Dovid Greenfeld shlit"a, the moreh d'asra of the beis medrash, to the benefactor R' Akiva Hersh, and to the entire congregation, and delivered divrei Kodesh and expressed the joy of renewing a beis medrash that will be distinguished by Torah, avodah and gemilus chasadim. He spoke in praise of the neighborhood's residents, and concluded with a blessing for his son, HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash shlit"a, and for HaRav R' Dovid Greenfeld shlit"a, moreh d'asra of the beis medrash, that they be able to raise the honor of the Torah and the beis medrash. He spoke at length in praise of the esteemed philanthropist, the distinguished R' Akiva Hersh, who built the entire neighborhood and the local batei medrash, and whose hand is still outstretched to build more batei medrash, and this is aside from his many donations to our holy kehilla and mosdos, and likewise his important efforts to help keep apartment prices low. The Rebbe blessed him with abundant brachos in all matters, and concluded with his holy blessing for the entire congregation.
Afterwards R' Moshe Yehuda Hirsch spoke with words of remembrance about his grandfather R' Yisroel Shalom Goldberger a"h, after whom this beis medrash is named. They finished at around 11:45.

Upon arriving home, the Rebbe made Kiddush Levanah in front of his residence.

Friday, Parshas Vayigash — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning the brissen took place.
- For the newborn son of R' Moshe Eizik Grohman shlit"a, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Yoel Brodah, son of R' M., where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Aharon Eliezer Bernath, where the Rebbe served as sandek.
- For the newborn son of R' Elimelech Klein, son of R' S., where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Yoel Simon, son of R' A.
- The bochur Alexander Naftali Brauner.
Afterwards, the Rebbe lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of the holy Gaon, the Baal Divrei Yechezkel of Shinova zy"a.

After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

Thursday, Parshas Vayigash 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Chaim Yosef Zev Glick.

During the Torah reading the Rebbe went to hagbah. After davening the Rebbe led the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 28, verse 3. Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

During the morning hours the Rebbe paid a visit to the mehudar bakery of our holy kehilla.

The Rebbe davened Mincha at around 5:15 and Maariv at the time of Rabbeinu Tam at his holy home. Before Maariv, 5 candles were lit in honor of the holy hilula of the holy Gaon, the Divrei Yechezkel of Shinova zy"a.

After Maariv, at around 6:15, the Rebbe arrived at the Beis Rochel building, 'Binyan Leah Esther', where the Rebbe held his holy tish in honor of the holy hilula together with the students of our holy yeshiva, Yeshiva Gedolah Yoel Moshe of Boro Park. The Rebbe washed for the seudah, during which niggunim of inspiration were sung, and the Rebbe honored the Rosh Yeshiva, HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Rubin shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Ciechanów, to relate stories about the baal hilula zy"a.
Afterwards the Rebbe related holy stories about the baal hilula for an extended time.
The Rebbe honored HaRav Dovid Shlomo Teitelbaum shlit"a, the yeshiva's director, with the recitation of a "Michtam LeDovid."
The Rebbe then continued and told several stories about the baal hilula zy"a, spoke about the teachings of the baal hilula zy"a, and concluded with his holy blessing.
The Rebbe honored HaGaon, the Av Beis Din of Ciechanów shlit"a, with leading Birkas Hamazon. It concluded at around 7:40.

Entry times for private audiences were from 7:50 until 1:00 at night at the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Court.

At around 10:10 the Rebbe went down to the halls of his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tnaim of the mechutanim R' Hersh Elimelech Rubinfeld and HaRav Yosef Hersh Bennett shlit"a.

Wednesday, Parshas Vayigash 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Shimon Landau, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Yoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- the son of HaRav Chanani Goldberger shlit"a.
- the bochur Michel Markowitz (London).

After davening, the Rebbe led the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 28, verse 2. Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Divrei Yoel yeshiva branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva students in his private room. At around 5:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Yitzchak Bernath and R' Chaim Nachum Fischer in the Kinor David halls.

Entry times for private audiences were from 7:15 until 1:00 at night at the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Court.

At around 10:10 the Rebbe went down to the halls of his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tnaim of the mechutanim R' Yoel Weiss and R' Moshe Roth.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:40 and then continued receiving the public.

Tuesday, Parshas Vayigash — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Eitz Chaim branch – Shiur Gimmel. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- the bochur Dovid Moskowitz.
- the bochur Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Friedman.
- the bochur Yitzchak Yekusiel Yehuda Freund.

After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 28, verse 1. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the heichal of the beis medrash.

At around 12:00, the Rebbe arrived at the ceremony of pouring the foundations of the new mikvah tahara of our holy kehilla in the Jefferson neighborhood of Kiryas Joel Expanded. The Rebbe poured the foundations and honored HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Farkash shlit"a and the mikvah's donors, residents of the neighborhood, to pour the foundations as well. During this, the Rebbe heard a report from the mikvah committee of our holy kehilla about all the facilities and hiddurim of the mikvah.

Afterwards, the Rebbe went over to a lechayim gathering in the adjacent Beis Medrash Avodas Aharon, where HaGaon Rabbi Berel Margulies shlit"a, chairman of the committee for expanding the city's borders, and HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Farkash shlit"a, rav of the beis medrash, spoke.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and gave blessings to all the donors and residents of the neighborhood, and a pleasant conversation developed about the growth and development of the area.
A signing of pledge documents also took place, where the distinguished neighborhood resident R' Yaakov Yuda Gefen pledged a large sum for the Mosdos Yatev Lev in Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor and bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.
Afterwards, the Rebbe delivered words of Torah on the importance of donating money for a mikvah, and related a story about the holy Meor Einayim zy"a, who sold his share in the World to Come in order to be able to build a mikvah, and he explained that when one gives money for a mikvah, one thereby buys the World to Come. The Rebbe praised the neighborhood residents who joined together to build a mikvah that cost a great deal of money, and concluded with abundant blessings to all the donors, blessing them that they should all merit the World to Come and this world and all that is good.
Several nigunim were sung, and it ended at around 12:30.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to Yeshiva, the Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva's talmidim in his private room. At around 5:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.
On the way, the Rebbe stopped in Monsey for a bikur cholim visit to his friend and longtime chavrusa, HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Reishis Chochmah shlit"a. A pleasant conversation ensued, filled with stories of tzaddikim, and the Rebbe warmly bestowed his holy blessing.

Upon arrival in Williamsburg, the Rebbe honored, dressed in Shabbos clothing, the chuppah of a granddaughter of HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a, at Imperial Hall. The Rebbe waited until after the chuppah and warmly wished mazel tov to the chasan, the mechutanim and HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a, and greeted the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Williamsburg shlit"a there.

The yechidus hours at the Rebbe's holy residence on Hooper St. were from 8:30 until 1:30 after midnight.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:45 and then continued receiving the public.
